Hi, I’m Erica, a therapist in the Philadelphia area who believes healing is rarely neat, linear, or Instagram-perfect. My approach blends evidence-based tools with an honest appreciation for how complicated, funny, painful, and beautiful being human can be.
My approach combines evidence based tools with curiosity, compassion, humor, and a genuine interest in understanding what makes you, well, you. I work with people who want to understand themselves better, break patterns that are no longer serving them, work through difficult experiences, or simply feel a little more comfortable in their own lives.
I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest. You don’t have to have the right words, know exactly what you need, or come in with everything figured out. You can show up messy, overwhelmed, frustrated, guarded, or completely unsure of where to start. We can figure it out together.
As someone who lives with a disability, I also know that resilience is a word that gets thrown around pretty casually. I understand what it means to build a life around limitations you didn’t choose while still wanting a life that feels full, meaningful, and genuinely yours. I bring that lived experience into my work, not because I think it means I understand everyone’s experience, but because I know what it feels like to keep going when things are heavy.
At the end of the day, I’m a therapist, but I’m also a real person. I won’t pretend to have all the answers or expect you to have yours. My job is to meet you where you are, help you understand what’s happening underneath the surface, and give you some tools to make things feel a little more manageable.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (PA & WV) with 10 years of experience in outpatient mental health. I specialize in supporting individuals — both adolescents and adults — navigating the aftermath of trauma, loss, adoption/foster care challenges, grief, anxiety, and depression. With children and teens, I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT), integrating trauma‑informed strategies tailored to younger clients. Hi, I'm Dr. Ryan Buhite. I'm a "down-to-earth" person who enjoys getting to know people and what will help them succeed. I am passionate about helping others grow, change, and reach their full potential. I believe the therapeutic alliance with my clients is a critical component of the treatment process. I work alongside my clients to help them get through life’s challenges, such as major life changes, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I received my Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) from Wright State University in 2007 and have been Board Certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Psychology since 2014. Following graduate school, I served in the United States Air Force as a clinical psychologist, treating clients, consulting with leadership, and training young clinicians. Welcome. Taking the step to seek support is not always easy, and I’m glad you’re here.
As a licensed counselor, I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma and navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. Additionally, I am well versed in helping others establish healthy relationships. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to your unique experiences and goals.
I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, creating space for more balanced and empowering perspectives. At the same time, I incorporate principles like radical acceptance to support you in making peace with what cannot be changed, while still moving forward in meaningful ways.
Because trauma is not only something we think about—but something we carry—I also integrate body-based (psychosomatic) approaches. These techniques help you reconnect with your body, process stored stress or trauma, and build a greater sense of safety and regulation from within.
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and develop practical tools for lasting change. You don’t have to do this alone—healing is possible, and I’m here to walk alongside you.

I personally have struggled with my own anxiety and panic attacks since I was a child. This is what led me to want to be a therapist to help others.

I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based method for working with trauma, PTSD, and deeply ingrained patterns that stem from past experiences.
Embarking on the journey of therapy is a courageous step, and I commend you for taking it. Recognizing the complexities that come with seeking help, I aim to provide a nurturing and empowering space for your healing and growth.
I am committed to creating a space that respects and supports diverse identities and relationship experiences. Your unique identities, relationship dynamics, and lived experiences matter, and I am here to support you with openness and understanding.
I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, panic, chronic worry, stress, and burnout using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches. I also work with clients experiencing depression, trauma-related symptoms, and life transitions that feel overwhelming or hard to manage alone. In my practice, this means we focus on both understanding what’s happening in this moment and identifying patterns that no longer serve you. Depending on your needs, I may also integrate mindfulness-based strategies, trauma-informed care, behavioral activation, and attachment-focused interventions to support deeper emotional healing and stability. My approach focuses on building real-life tools to help you feel more steady, confident, and in control. It is structured, supportive, and collaborative. CBT is a major focus of my work, meaning we identify thought patterns, emotional responses, and behavioral cycles that keep anxiety, depression and low self esteem going—and actively work to change them in practical ways.

Hi there,
I’m Elizabeth, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 9 years of experience working with teens and adults. I’m passionate about helping people navigate challenges, break through patterns that keep them feeling stuck, and create meaningful change. Through our work together, we will explore the thoughts and feelings that may be holding you back, build on your strengths, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Rather than trying to push away or change difficult thoughts and feelings, we will work together to help you develop a different relationship with them, so they feel more manageable and less able to hold you back from living a life that feels meaningful to you.
I am a full-time school counselor, but work part-time as a therapist. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I worked in the mental health field for over 15 years in multiple roles. I enjoy helping adolescents and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns to identify strategies that allow them to manage and/or overcome these concerns. I tend to use an eclectic mix of person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy when working with clients. I also have been trained in mindfulness to assist my clients.
I also understand the difficulties one might face related to the current societal climate as it relates to LGBTQ+ population and race. I believe it is important for clients to have a safe space to share
the microaggressions, discrimination, and/or hate that one may face. I believe that I can be that safe space for all individuals.
In my free-time, I am enjoy spending time with my family. During this time, we like to do things outdoors, such as playing pickleball, hiking, paddleboarding, or just relaxing.
Thank you for considering me as your therapist. Like shopping for a car or purchasing a home, finding a therapist with whom you connect is an investment. This investment is meant to benefit you and your desire to have a better quality of life with yourself or your partner. I work with individuals and couples on their journeys to living happier and more content lives. Do you want to feel happy with life and relieved from stress? We can work on taking care of that so that vision of yours can become a reality. Your story and the quality of your life matters most to me.
I specialize in guiding communication and relational dynamics that are currently affecting your life. Whether it is personal challenges (i.e. detrimental self-talk, fear of judgment, life purpose) or relationship challenges (i.e. differing perspectives, communication styles, unhealthy conflicts), we can work on moving forward from this.
I strive for deep therapeutic connections to help you and your loved ones feel supported, validated, understood and encouraged that it is possible for things to change for the better. The journey will not always be easy, but you do have the ability to change things. Book a session to begin the path to a better life for yourself and/or your partner.
