I am Dr. Shazia Naurin, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor based in Ohio, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, evidence-based care, and cultural sensitivity. I hold national certification as a counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and trained in Internal Family System (IFS) enabling me to support clients working through trauma, emotional dysregulation, and deeply rooted patterns. My approach is grounded in authenticity, empowerment, and a deep commitment to helping clients build resilience, heal, and thrive.
I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, safe, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through connection.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, and the emotional weight of caregiving, relationships, and work stress. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward — and together we create space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and build tools that actually fit your life.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, deepen self-compassion, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and authentic. I strive to create a space that is nonjudgmental, affirming, and supportive of your unique story
I am here to meet you where you are and work with you to explore your individual strengths, and skills. I will collaborate with you to build attainable objectives based on your reasons for reaching out. I use evidence-based and integrative treatment methods based on your feedback and concerns. I believe in teaching skills and sharing resources to encourage effective, trauma-informed, short-term and strengths based treatment.
As a therapist, my approach is open, non-judgmental, and collaborative. My goal is to create an empowering environment because ultimately, you are the expert in your own life. I specialize in trauma, mood disorders (depression and anxiety), and perinatal mental health. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This form of therapy has been shown to be effective for individuals who have survived traumatic experiences and/or who have experienced complex developmental trauma throughout their lives. With experience working with diverse diagnoses and populations, I visualize therapy as a journey where I walk alongside to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you may be wondering what our work together would actually look like. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can better understand yourself, build practical skills, and work toward a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as a primary approach. DBT is a skills-based, evidence-informed therapy that can help with managing intense emotions, navigating relationships, tolerating difficult situations, and responding to yourself and others with greater awareness and effectiveness.
Depending on your goals, we may focus on any or all of the following:
• Managing strong or overwhelming emotions
• Building healthier relationships and boundaries
• Increasing mindfulness and self-awareness
• Tolerating distress without making situations worse
• Strengthening self-compassion
• Building a life aligned with your values
Therapy works best when we approach it as a team. I’ll bring clinical knowledge, structure, support, and honest feedback; you bring your experiences, goals, questions, and willingness to practice new approaches. You can expect me to encourage and challenge you, when appropriate, and help you make sense of what you are experiencing. There may be times when therapy feels rough, particularly when we are looking at patterns you have used for a long time. We'll work through those moments together rather than expecting you to navigate them alone.
You will also have opportunities to practice skills between sessions. The goal isn't just talking about what is happening in your life—it's to help you develop tools you can use in your life.
The hope is over time, you leave therapy with a greater understanding of yourself, confidence in your ability to handle difficulties, and a sense that you can build a life worth living.

Hey there! :)
I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory distinction (LISW-S) based in central Ohio. I earned my MSW from The Ohio State University and have spent the past decade doing what I love most—helping people heal, grow, and thrive.
My journey began as a trauma specialist working with children in Treatment Foster Care and adoption in inner-city Columbus. At the same time, I supported children, young adults, and families in Worthington, Ohio, helping them find balance and connection in their daily lives. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for supporting parents—especially those navigating the emotional waves of infertility, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and the beautifully complex world of parenting.
These experiences sparked a deep commitment to working with women to identify their strengths, overcome barriers, and step fully into their potential. I find so much joy in connecting with people from all walks of life, and I've had the privilege of working in urban, suburban, and rural communities. My current practice—and my roots—are in the beautiful Appalachian foothills of Ohio.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a proud animal lover, plant enthusiast, and people-person through and through. I believe in the power of humor, honesty, and human connection—and I’m here to walk alongside you, wherever you are in your journey.
My name is Amber. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Ohio. My role is to empower you on this journey of self-actualization. I bring authenticity, warmth, and a solution-oriented approach. We will be working side by side to identify your goals, values, and strengths. From there, we will process past experiences to help you move on to becoming your best self. I have been helping clients achieve their goals for the past several years. These clients range from the age of one-year-old to over fifty-years-old. About 60% of my clients are 12 and under. In working with younger children, I have had the most success using telehealth when parents are present to monitor, arrange a predictable environment, and assist with any technical issues. In working with younger children, the parents’ role is vital. I work as a team with parents and caregivers to build a healthy relationship and find the appropriate strengths-based parenting strategies for the child. Recommended parenting techniques are largely based on the Conscious Discipline model which encourages mindful parenting. With younger children, the parents’ cooperation is imperative to reach desired behavioral goals. I also draw from the approaches outlined in Working with Challenging Youth by Brent Richardson, Ed.D.
Hi, I’m Alex! Think of me as your outlet that's here to listen, support, and help you tackle whatever life throws your way. I prioritize creating a safe space where you can be yourself, figure stuff out, and build on your strengths. No judgment, just honest dialogue and effective tools to help you feel a little more “you” every day.
Hi, I’m Janai, a Licensed Independent Social Worker passionate about providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy for adults from diverse backgrounds. I have extensive experience working with diverse populations navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, acculturation stress, identity-related challenges, domestic violence, and major life transitions.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I utilize evidence-based practices including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and Solution-Focused Therapy while tailoring treatment to each client’s unique experiences, values, and goals. I also incorporate multicultural and non-Western approaches when appropriate to ensure clients feel seen, respected, and understood.
I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients can process challenges, build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and move toward healing and personal growth at their own pace.
Hi, I’m Christina Hampshire, DHS, LISW-S, CDCA.
I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and find healthier ways to cope. With a doctorate in Human Services specializing in Leadership and Organizational Management from Capella University, I bring over 13 years of experience as a licensed independent social worker (LISW-S) in Ohio. My work focuses on mental health and substance abuse therapy, and I’ve had the privilege of working with both youth and adults in individual, family, and group counseling settings.
I use a blend of evidence-based techniques in my practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Therapy, all tailored to meet each person’s unique needs. I also have a background in teaching as an adjunct instructor, where I’ve had the honor of inspiring many former clients to pursue careers in human services and become advocates for their communities.
In group counseling, I often incorporate creative methods, drawing from my background in art to help clients express themselves and find healing in new ways.
Outside of work, I’m an avid reader, writer, and art enthusiast. I love spending time with family, playing video games, singing my heart out at karaoke, and sharing laughs with friends.
If you’re looking for support, whether it’s through therapy, guidance, or simply a safe space to explore your challenges, I’d love to work with you!
With 18 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field, I specialize in helping clients navigate the complex intersections of addiction, depression, and anxiety. My approach focuses on creating a non-judgmental, collaborative space where individuals can build sustainable, healthy coping skills and rediscover a sense of purpose. My desire is for clients to make the long-term life change that they desire.
"My greatest strength is cultivating an atmosphere of deep safety, authenticity, and genuine connection where clients feel fully seen, understood, and unjudged. Clinically, I integrate evidence-based frameworks—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy—with specialized Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process deep-seated trauma at its root. Furthermore, my specialized training as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) candidate enables me to apply a rigorous, systematic framework to unravel complex behavioral patterns and addiction, offering clients both an empathetic space and a clear, structured roadmap for sustainable recovery."

Hi, I’m Rob. I hail from Steubenville, Ohio. Let’s jump right in. Life is hard- we all need a little help and support on the journey. I see myself as walking beside the people with whom I work. Some need to look into the past and process it, receiving a different perspective on it. Some have a specific goal in mind like decreasing anxiety by learning new skills in a short period of time. Others need a listening ear, with some insights sprinkled in. Others still, benefit from clarity and analysis. What do you need? I believe the interpersonal connection between counselor and client can be healing in and of itself. People are ones that hurt us, we're also the ones that heal each other.

My name is Darcy Smith, and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) in the state of Ohio. I’m from Southern Ohio, and this community has been home for most of my life. I’ve raised my two sons here, who are now 19 and 6, and being able to serve the people and communities I know and love is something I’m genuinely grateful for.
My journey in the helping profession began about 16 years ago, when I started working as a Behavioral Rehabilitation Specialist at a short-term substance use treatment facility in West Virginia. That experience sparked a passion for understanding people, their stories, and the things that shape the way we move through the world.
I went on to earn an Associate in Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Social Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ohio University. I then spent seven years working at a local community mental health agency, where I had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people, diagnoses, and levels of care. While working in the field, I earned my Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson University in Kentucky.
Over the years, those experiences shaped not only the therapist I wanted to become, but also the kind of space I wanted to create for the people I serve. Eventually, that vision became Soul Oasis Counseling and Psychotherapy Services, where I’m honored to be the owner and primary therapist.
I’m grateful to continue doing work I genuinely love and to have the opportunity to walk alongside people as they navigate some of life’s hardest, most confusing, and sometimes most meaningful moments.
Compassionate and supportive.
My focus is on you and your process of acceptance and change. I take time to listen. I focus on strengths. I hold space for your pain. I collaborate with you.
My expertise lies in noticing and helping you notice.
I recognize that, while cognitive and behavioral work matters, so does the body and so do larger contexts of justice and injustice. Mindfulness and meditation are therefore integrated into care using the following modalities:
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
Trauma Informed Care
Mindfulness Practices

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for ten years now. You will always know yourself better than I can or will.
From a philosophical and theoretical standpoint. I am overwhelming more of an attachment theorist, and have been known to use existentialism from time to time to help make sense of something. I guess the question that remains though is; can a butterfly flap it's wings in Brazil and cause a tornado in Kentucky, or are we all simply just products of our childhood and mirrors of our parents traumas?
The duality of life.
Attachment Theory vs. Chaos Theory. Both have value. I digress.
My goal is to provide a petridish in which you can explore your self. Safe. Contained. Yet completely in your control. The paradox being, you likely already have what you need. I'll sit with you while you find it. I can give you my clinical opinion, or diagnosis, and recommendations along the way as well if you'd like that. I can just sit and listen. I can play devils advocate. My job is to listen, empower, observe, and provide feedback when requested.

I aim to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and emotions can be explored without fear of judgment, meaningful solutions can be discovered and habits can be positively structured or restructured for a desired narrative. I participate in searching records to help adopted people or siblings of adopted people to make connections/gather family history. Wherever you are in your adoption journey, I am here to help.
My experience has been helpful to blended families who are struggling. There are often parallels to the adoptive parents and step-parent experience.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and substance use concerns. I also value the importance of cultural identity, faith, and lived experiences in the healing process and offer Christian counseling for clients who wish to incorporate spirituality into therapy.
My goal is to help clients develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Anxiety & Sleeplessness
Fear, insomnia, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we work towards increasing sleep time, decreasing panic or anxiety attacks or symptoms, fully understanding where overwhelming emotions stem from, and how to move towards being your best self.
Relationships
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both partners and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
Trauma and Healing
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after post-traumatic events. We work together through these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Being on my own life journey, it is easy to resonate with your struggles and appreciate your reaching out. Fear, doubt, and anxiety/depression are often apart of this life and it is important to connect with others in order to address them when they become stuck places. Then, they become the fuel for your better way forward. This has been true for me having experienced mental illness within my family growing up and therefore I feel confident that I can help you with your unique self and life.
It takes courage to reach out for support, and I feel honored to be trusted with my clients’ stories. I strive to create a safe, compassionate space where we’ll work at your pace to build insight, resilience, and lasting change. I have a background in both medical social work and residential mental health, allowing me to build rapport quickly so you can feel safe in our sessions.

I give my Clients the space to talk freely about any problems they are facing and work with them on an action plan.
I draw from a blend of therapeutic approaches, professional experience, and life experience, grounded in compassion and a genuine desire to understand your story. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are.
Together, we will explore your path toward a deeper understanding of who you are and where you want to be. I believe our actions always make sense, even when they feel confusing or frustrating. By exploring the roots of unwanted patterns, we can begin to shift our responses and move toward a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
I also believe that each of us holds the answers within—we all have the capacity to grow and succeed. At times, having an impartial, supportive presence can make all the difference. That’s where I come in: to offer a nonjudgmental space and the tools to help you make sense of what feels unclear, and to support you in creating meaningful change.

I began my education in research psychology before entering counseling. Now, I am a Community Counselor. I have spent my time as a therapist side by side with people in their homes, in their schools, at their workplace, and out in the community. I have worked with people on the Autism Spectrum, with ADHD, depression, mood disorders, and end of life issues.
My approach to helping has always been to help you define your current purpose. I utilize a client-centered approach, cognitive behavioralism, and existentialism. I want you to feel heard, seen, and feel that you are important. We will work together to help you on a journey to discover yourself.
I am glad you are here and I look forward to working with you.

I am a US Air Force veteran Clinical Social Worker. I served from 2015 to 2024 before voluntarily separating. During my USAF time I treated active duty members, their dependents, and veterans. I worked primarily in outpatient care providing 1 on 1 in person therapy, however would frequently be called to conduct emergency assessments for high risk cases involving suicide, homicide, domestic violence, and/or child abuse. I also spent several years leading a team in conducting substance abuse treatment as well as prevention programs.
