Hey hey! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker practicing in Arizona and Ohio. I strive to be effective in session, equip clients with practical skills, and make the most of our time together. My clinical practice is shaped not only by years of professional experience but also by my personal journey. I obtained my Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of populations and communities—from providing counseling and case management, to supporting individuals who are HIV-positive or newly diagnosed, to working with homeless families, and offering emotional support to dialysis patients and others navigating medical conditions. I have provided therapy to individuals, couples, and groups working through challenges such as communication issues, trauma, self‑esteem, anxiety, and major life adjustments. My goal is to create a supportive, grounded, and collaborative space where clients feel empowered to grow at their own pace.
In our first session, I like to explain that you’re in the driver’s seat and I’m in the passenger seat. You set the direction, and I’m here to listen, support you, and help you navigate the rough spots along the way. During our time together, I want to get to know you—what brings you here, what’s been on your mind, and what realistic, meaningful goals feel right for you. We’ll talk through what change might look like and what feels exciting or motivating for you. You can expect a safe space, an open mind, a listening ear, and the opportunity to ask questions. Our first session is all about building and reconnecting your strengths , clarity, and alignment so we can work collaboratively toward the goals that matter most to you.
My approach centers on helping you tap into your own strengths. Together, we explore decision‑making, identify both positive and negative thinking patterns, and look at how emotions influence your thoughts and actions. I encourage an open mind as we consider what change can look like and what steps feel possible for you. My goal is to support clarity, confidence, and meaningful progress as you move toward the life you want.
Counseling can be helpful for many reasons—whether someone is working through specific problems or simply needs a safe space to share vulnerable, honest thoughts. I enjoy working with individuals who are open‑minded, willing to be gently challenged, and ready to put in the work. I’m especially drawn to clients who feel passionate about creating change and are motivated to grow into the version of themselves they want to be.
Other specialties
I identify as
Eclectic
As a therapist, I use an eclectic approach because it allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. Over the years, I’ve learned that no single therapeutic model works for everyone—many approaches can be effective depending on the individual. By integrating techniques from modalities such as Progressive Counting, CBT, DBT, mindfulness‑based approaches, and EMDR, I can adapt my interventions to fit a client’s concerns, preferences, and progress. This flexibility helps ensure that therapy remains client‑centered, evidence‑based, and responsive to individual differences. An eclectic approach also allows me to shift strategies when needed, fostering engagement and enhancing the effectiveness of our work together. Ultimately, this method supports a holistic and personalized therapeutic experience that empowers clients to make meaningful, lasting change.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I take a person-centered approach, and I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can be fully themselves. I believe that real change happens when people feel genuinely heard and accepted. My style is warm, strength focus and grounded in unconditional positive regard, which helps clients lower their defenses and open up at their own pace. I work collaboratively with clients, meeting them where they are at. As, well as supporting them in building insight, confidence, and meaningful changes the person is seeking.
Trauma Informed Care
Settle in, grab your popcorn, and watch the memory unfold—safely. I’m trained in Progressive Counting (PC) therapy, a gentle, efficient, and structured method that helps the brain naturally process trauma and PTSD symptoms. I also utilized this therapy to help clients navigate grief, and experiences influencing self-esteem.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Using CBT, I help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and work toward positive, lasting changes in everyday life
EMDR
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I utilize elements of EMDR, such as grounding, resourcing, and bilateral stimulation techniques (when necessary), to support clients in processing distressing experiences and reducing the emotional intensity associated with traumatic memories.
