My goal is to help others help themselves to become the person they want to be. I’m very open-minded, non-judgmental, and caring. I specialize in DBT, CBT, ACT and trauma-focused evidenced based practices. Although I believe in an eclectic approach, and meeting my client where they're at. I want to create a safe space, that's non-judgmental for our work together. My passions are working with individuals struggling with depression, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, women's issues such as postpartum/perinatal, and advocating for those who are feeling stuck in abusive relationships of any kind. I tend to utilize humor as well. I find it to be a very healing coping skill. My biggest thing is focusing on the small things as well. I believe society forces us to look at the big things and if those don't happen right away, we give up really easily, due to instant gratification. We're all searching for that next big thing, when that small thing is right there in front of us and is just as important.

My practice was born from the understanding that people who struggle often have filled their day to day lives with survival mechanisms: habits, actions, and thoughts that may have helped in the moment but become burdensome over time. The lasting effects of trauma can create an overwhelming sense of self-blame, leaving individuals questioning, "Am I the problem?" or "Did I do something wrong?" My practice exists to help individuals build a healthier "life worth living". Where pain, fear, sadness, anger, and memories can be honored rather than suppressed. It is a place where healthier coping skills are developed, empowering clients to create lives filled with resilience and meaning. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has six years of experience and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a dual degree in Social Work and Nonprofit Organizational Management. Outside of work I love to travel, cook, and craft.

You may be someone who looks like you have it together from the outside, but inside you’re tired, overwhelmed, anxious, or wondering why the things that used to work for you just aren’t working anymore. Maybe you’re the person everyone else depends on, and you’re not quite sure where you get to put your own stuff. I work especially well with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, major life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply trying to understand themselves better. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who have already done a lot of reflecting but want help turning that insight into something that actually changes how life feels. I also work with a number of fellow therapists and helping professionals. At any given time, roughly 10% of my caseload is made up of clinicians who need a place where they do not have to be the therapist, supervisor, helper, or expert. They get to simply be the client. Another area I care deeply about is supporting women navigating perimenopause and the changes that can come with it. When your mood, energy, sleep, concentration, or sense of self suddenly feels different, it can be hard to know what belongs in the therapy room and what needs medical attention. I can help you sort through what you are experiencing, prepare for conversations with healthcare providers, and feel more confident advocating for your own health. You don’t need to come to therapy with the right words or a perfectly defined goal. We can start with what’s happening now and figure it out together. Note: I provide all services in a virtual setting.

Hello, I'm Sherri. Asking for help is never easy. Maybe you don’t know if you can ask for help because how can you reach out to someone who might balk when you tell them you’re questioning your faith or just on a nontraditional spiritual path? I’ve been passionate about helping people find peace amid stress and chaos for years. My promise is a safe space for letting your walls and burdens down. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are. Together, we will explore your path toward a deeper understanding of who you are and where you want to be. I believe our actions always make sense, even when they feel confusing or frustrating. By exploring the roots of unwanted patterns, we can begin to shift our responses and move toward a more peaceful and fulfilling life. I also believe that each of us holds the answers within—we all have the capacity to grow and succeed. At times, having an impartial, supportive presence can make all the difference. The one question I get most often by clients and peers is: Why did you go into the counseling profession? My response is always the same. First, I have always had a desire to help people in a time of need or distress. I have felt this way as far back as high school. Secondly, I went through a debilitating anxiety disorder in my mid-twenties. I know first-hand the helplessness and desperation mental and emotional pain causes. I never condone a therapist sharing with a client, they know how the client feels unless they themselves have experienced a similar type of pain. Lastly, I believe in the power of counseling and the benefits it can offer. Counseling is very different from medicine. Counseling requires the client to be actively involved in the process of healing and growth rather than taking medication and waiting for it to work. Counseling empowers a client to by allowing them to see their progress towards the life they desire on a daily, weekly, and even monthly basis.

I've been working in mental health for 15 years, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia. Most of what I do centers around anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, and PTSD — but I work with people dealing with a lot of different things, and I'm not going to tell you your situation doesn't qualify. I see kids, teens, adults, couples, and families, so if you're looking for someone who can work with your family across different ages, that's something I can do. I'm a Certified Trauma Specialist and trained in integrative mental health, which means I bring more tools to the table than just talk therapy. I'm neurodivergence-affirming and work with people across a wide range of identities and communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals and single parents. A lot of my clients have been carrying something for a long time before they finally reach out — that's more common than you'd think, and it's never too late to start.

Michelle believes therapy is a very individualized journey where each individuals biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs are thoroughly assessed. Michelle provides Christian counseling upon request. Michelle believes in the power of vulnerability and the beauty of resilience. She begins each day with the Serenity Prayer asking the Lord her Savior to not only provide her with the courage, strength, knowledge, wisdom and patience but to also be with each and every client she encounters to assist them in overcoming their hardships. Therapy is a self-discovering journey, I look forward to embarking on this adventure together. When Michelle is not working she seeks adventure in the beauty of nature, often found traveling, photography, health and fitness and spending time with her Husband and son.

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just exhausted from trying to hold everything together? You don't have to navigate it alone. I am a LCSW working with teenagers and adults who are ready to break free from cycles of overthinking and self-doubt. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and compassionate. I tailor our sessions to fit your unique needs using practical tools from MI (Motivational Interviewing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy). Together, we’ll build practical tools to help you breathe easier and move forward with confidence. Outside of session, you can find me hiking (with or without my dog), playing volleyball, volunteering in my church, and relaxing at home.

Do you feel like you're running at full capacity with no room left to breathe? On the surface, you have it all together: the high-performing professional, the dependable parent, the supportive partner. Underneath, it's different. Anxiety that won't quiet. Depression creeping in. Burnout from roles that never let you clock out. Often it's all of them at once, tangled together until they blur. I bring an engineer's mindset to therapy. My background in Mechanical Engineering shaped how I see problems, not as isolated issues but as complex systems needing recalibration. Most high-achievers I work with are tired of surface-level talk therapy; they want results. Together, we analyze what's actually breaking down, whether it's depression, anxiety, career burnout, or family dynamics. We build a concrete evidence-based plan using tools such as DBT and EMDR to process trauma and tackle performance issues. For over a decade, I've guided clients through major life transitions, for example career pivots, new parenthood, and loss, toward lives rooted in purpose and sustainable well-being.
