Hi, I’m Jonny. I’ve been practicing as a clinician in Western North Carolina since 2016, beginning in community mental health with children and families before transitioning to private practice with adults. That background shaped my core belief that mental healthcare should be accessible, humane, and deeply personal. In my practice, I offer a warm, collaborative space where we balance practical, incremental steps with your bigger-picture goals for meaningful growth. I’d love to connect and talk about what we can accomplish together.

Hello, I am Darrell Patterson Does your life seem to be dictated by everything around you except for you and the things you want and love about being able to be fully you without shame, guilt or apology? I assist people with centering or recentering their thoughts around their intentions, their attentiveness and their mindfulness in healthy and helpful ways to live life on a win-win basis. Together, we can identify what is healthy and helpful to your intentions giving you the ability to set a path that is supportive of you and the intentions you have for success in all areas of your life (mentally, emotionally, spiritually, socially, financially and so on). We will explore a love for your whole self approach to address the areas of yourself that are not currently a welcomed part of the whole. Whether you are experiencing feelings of being overwhelmed, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to assist you. Seeking therapy can feel uncomfortable but you are making a conscious choice to regain the best version of yourself. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. I believe the most important thing about therapy is being compassionate and introducing evidence-based techniques and interventions so you can overcome the adverse experiences that have become hindrances to your intentions for a healthy and happy life. Let's work together to find your win-win path and village.

I most often support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. I understand that addiction is often a response to deep emotional pain, frequently connected to unresolved trauma, and I approach this work with genuine compassion and respect for the complexity of each person’s story. As a therapist, I’m friendly, dependable, compassionate, and easy to connect with, and I’m deeply invested in creating a space where you can feel supported and at ease. My focus is on helping you reconnect with a sense of internal safety, build meaningful self awareness, and develop a more caring and grounded relationship with yourself. I aim to create an environment that feels steady, encouraging, and even a little bit light when it’s helpful, one where healing, resilience, and alignment can grow. Ultimately, my goal is to help you strengthen your capacity to live with authenticity, clarity, and emotional freedom.

Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns. To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress. My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki. Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.

Welcome — I’m John Dyson, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), based in the foothills of North Carolina. I want you to take a moment to acknowledge that you’ve already taken the first step toward bettering your mental health. Let’s be honest — starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even scary — sometimes all at once. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore concerns related to anxiety, depression, and self-care. I focus on helping clients build assertive communication skills and healthy boundaries, both with themselves and with others, in ways that support a more balanced, fulfilling life. Therapy is an opportunity for personal growth in whatever way you're seeking — whether that means navigating specific challenges or building the life you deeply deserve. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m here when you’re ready. Together, we’ll clarify the challenges you’re facing and identify where you want to be — a month, six months, or a year from now. Then, we’ll explore actionable strategies to help you move forward. You'll leave each session with a clearer understanding of your situation and a set of “next steps” you can begin right away. There will always be space for feedback and collaboration in our work — including holding each other accountable as we walk this path together.

Hi! My name is Erin Tucker and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I’ve worked as a social worker for over 20 years, and I’ve been licensed since 2014. With extensive experience as a medical and hospice social worker, I take an eclectic approach to counseling, including solution-focused, strengths-based and cognitive-behavioral therapies, giving me the ability to tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs. I’m so glad you’ve reached out for support and help, and I hope we’ll be able to meet soon! To that end, I’d like to let you know some things about me and my practice. I, hopefully like you, have a life and family outside of my work. Because of these responsibilities I must cancel/reschedule sessions more often than is usual. It’s inconvenient and I apologize for the necessity. However, for those clients who choose to move forward with me, I fully extend this same flexibility to them. I will never be upset or feel inconvenienced by your need to cancel or reschedule, even at the last minute. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with adults and young adults seeking supportive space to better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges. I work with anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, and periods of transition or uncertainty. Whether navigating college, early adulthood, career decisions, changing relationships, or the next chapter of life, therapy can help clients gain perspective, clarify what matters and move forward with confidence. I also draw on my past experience working with children and teens to help parents strengthen connection and communication. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and engaged, while also being direct when helpful. I believe therapy can be meaningful and challenging without always feeling heavy and I often incorporate appropriate humor, warmth, and a genuine sense of humanity into our work. I use an integrative model that incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Our work often focuses on clarifying values, building coping strategies, improving relationships and making changes that feel realistic. I strive to provide a non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and respected while developing tools they can use in their everyday lives. I offer teletherapy to adults located in North Carolina.

I am a veteran of the helping professions, having served since 1982 in some capacity or another, and I still find excitement in the possibility of helping those who need such assistance. I am currently licensed in two states, both North Carolina and Pennsylvania. I find many people respond to my ability to simply listen and that shows that they do not often feel they have been heard and sometimes this is all that is necessary to start the journey to begin healing. Certainly more is often required, and helping people connect with effective treatments whether provided by myself or not is the best help that can be given.
