Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of North Carolina. I received my Masters degree from Arizona State University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I believe that working together in a safe, non-judgmental environment can create space for the healing you deserve.
In my early career I worked with Child Protective Services to support the reunification of children with their biological parents. I then moved to North Carolina to continue work with keeping families together that had suffered trauma and/or behavioral issues. From there, I worked as an individual therapist working with teenagers and adults. During that time, I led groups that focused on education for women who experienced anxiety on a daily basis. Prior to the Grow Therapy platform, I worked to support adults in crisis who needed immediate psychiatric support.
I'm a middle-aged human who loves to support others along their journeys to greater states of purpose and well-being and who has turned that instinct to help others into a career. I've got experience with working with senior citizens with dementia, people with chronic illnesses and pain, and I've worked in the prison system as a therapist as well as in a gender-affirming care clinic. If I could choose one word to link my broad range of work roles, it would be: advocate.

I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, family conflict, grief, loss, and caregiver burnout. I also have extensive experience working with trauma survivors, including individuals recovering from unhealthy relationships, emotional abuse, religious trauma and domestic violence. I am a multilingual (English, Spanish, & Portuguese) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with clinical experience working with athletes, college students, children, adolescents, and adults, including 2SLGBTQIA+, Latinx, immigrant, and foster/adopted parenting communities. I presently most consistently work with clients who have OCD and/or anxiety-related disorders, a history of developmental (complex) trauma, and/or high-achieving professionals, especially healthcare and other service workers. As an endurance athlete, fellow athletes have also found the blend of my clinical experience along with lived experience in athletics, as well as embodiment of the athletic mindset, helpful in understanding them and their presenting concerns.
I work with clients individually, dyadically, and in groups. I hope to convey warmth, compassion, and non-judgmental curiosity to every client with whom I am honored to enter into a clinical partnership. Meeting you where you are at, my aim is to provide a safe and confidential environment in which we can collaboratively explore factors that may be impeding your ability to live an engaged and meaningful life on your terms, as well as ways to overcome them. My responsibility as a clinician is to help you feel seen, heard, and understood after every session and more deeply connected to your mind, body, and heart.
Recognizing that healing does not occur in a vacuum, I approach my clinical work through an inclusive liberation-focused lens that acknowledges systems of oppression, validates their impact on you, and champions your identities with respect to gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion and spirituality, neurodivergence, body expression and body size, and dis/ability. Navigating the intersection of our respective individual identities through open dialogue, with careful consideration of privileged and historically marginalized identities, is of the highest importance to me.
Above all else I strive for authenticity in myself, my work, and my therapeutic relationships. I am very accepting of anyone who works with me and I encourage my clients to see themselves as the expert in their lives and their healing, while allowing me to guide them as they walk through the healing process in a way that is truly tailored to what they need and want from a therapist. I can be very free flowing in practice or offer more structured support. Most importantly I will be myself, so be prepared for humor, lots of questions, and someone will put your needs above all else during the time that you are in my office.
Hi! I'm a dually Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) working in the Raleigh NC area. I received my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) from the North Carolina State University and have been practicing for 7 years. I love what I do, I left a successful career when I was in my mid 40's to go to college so I could become a social worker. I became a LCSW because I lost a partner when I was in my early 30's and a LCSW helped me navigate a new beginning and changed my life forever.
I am a mental health therapist (LCSW) based in North Carolina with over 10 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic counseling. Life can feel overwhelming when work responsibilities, family dynamics, spiritual concerns, and parenthood intersect. When emotions begin to feel like an ongoing rollercoaster, therapy can offer grounding, clarity, and meaningful direction. Care is rooted in trauma-informed practice and focuses on helping individuals navigate depression, crises, self-esteem challenges, and major life transitions in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.
Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns.
To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress.
My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki.
Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.

I was drawn into the counseling field from a very early age, always curious about people, their relationships, ideas people embrace, choices they make. I’m a licensed clinical social worker who provides a supportive, collaborative, and trauma-informed space for clients to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, respectful, and individualized, not rushed or one-size-fits-all. My role is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of your experiences, and support you in building skills and insight that translate into real-life change.
My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and informed by evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Child–Parent Psychotherapy when working with children and families. In practice, this means we may focus on understanding patterns between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills; exploring how past relationships impact present ones; clarifying values; or gently processing difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable. I place a strong emphasis on collaboration and choice, ensuring you remain an active participant in your care.
I work with adults, children, adolescents, and caregivers navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. I hold licensure & provide therapy services as a clinical social worker (generalist), clinical addictions specialist. I have been in therapeutic practice for the past 6 years. I employ a variety of interventions in practice to include psychotherapy, psychoeducation, & coping skills development.
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience helping others cope with day-to-day stressors and past troubling events. Coping may involve identifying and reframing long-standing negative thoughts and assumptions or identifying our core values and goals, which can make frustrating or uncomfortable situations more manageable or put them into perspective. Seeing ourselves and our thoughts, issues or non-ideal behaviors for what they are can lead to greater self-awareness and the ability to offer ourselves the same compassion and understanding we give others. Our stuff is just that- stuff. Stuff we have accumulated along the road of life. Those things may impact us, but they do not need to control or define us.
Learning to see ourselves in this more neutral and accepting way leads to greater self-esteem and decreased self-doubt and negative judgement. This in turn makes change more possible.
