Ashley Cureton
Hi I’m Ashley. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up authentically, feel supported, and gain tools that help you move forward. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and women—especially high-achieving individuals and mothers—who are navigating stress, trauma, life transitions, and the pressure of carrying a lot while still showing up for everyone else.
First session
During our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we begin getting to know one another. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and talk through important experiences that help me better understand your story. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—my goal is to meet you where you are, help you feel comfortable, and begin creating a plan that feels meaningful and tailored to your needs.
Strengths
My approach combines evidence-based practices with a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens and practical tools clients can use in everyday life. I often integrate psychoeducation, guided reflection, and skill-building to help clients gain insight while making progress that feels realistic and sustainable. I’m especially passionate about supporting high-achieving individuals and those who have spent so much time caring for others that they’ve had little space to care for themselves.
Ideal clients
I enjoy supporting adolescents, young adults, and women who are navigating stress, trauma, life transitions, emotional challenges, and the pressure that can come with wearing many hats. I work especially well with high-achieving individuals and mothers who may appear to have it all together while carrying a lot behind the scenes. Many of my clients want to better understand themselves, heal from past experiences, improve relationships, build confidence, and develop practical skills that help them move forward with intention.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, build insight, and develop practical coping strategies that support lasting change.
Brainspotting
I use Brainspotting to support deeper emotional processing and help clients work through experiences that may be difficult to access through talk therapy alone.
Group Therapy
I view group therapy as a powerful treatment approach that fosters connection, shared learning, support, and growth through the experiences of others.
Trauma-Informed Care
I provide trauma-informed care by recognizing the impact of life experiences on emotional well-being and creating a safe, supportive space for healing. Drawing from my training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), I help clients understand the effects of trauma, develop coping skills, process experiences at an appropriate pace, and build resilience.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution-focused approach to help clients build on strengths, identify what is already working, and create realistic steps toward their goals.
