I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who specializes in helping adults who are struggling with anxiety. I believe that everyone needs a helping hand at some point in their lives, and my focus is on providing support to those who are experiencing stress, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to create a safe and encouraging space for you to gain greater self-awareness and learn skills to help you manage these challenges and improve your overall quality of life. In addition to anxiety, I also have experience with a variety of other mental health issues, such as ADHD, depression, mood regulation, grief, trauma, career and education transitions, and anger management. In my career, I've worked with families and children from diverse backgrounds in a range of settings, including in-home therapy, school-based and office-based outpatient counseling, and therapy groups for children in elementary, middle, and high school. I hope to continue making a positive impact on the lives of those I work with and to help them navigate life's challenges with more ease and compassion. If you're struggling with anxiety or any other mental health issue, I'm here to help and support you.
In our first session, we will delve into what led you to seek therapy. As we continue to meet, we'll take the time to establish trust and mutual understanding. We'll discuss your objectives, capabilities, needs, strengths, and the changes you wish to make. Occasionally, I may assign homework to help advance the therapeutic process. I'll frequently check in with you to determine what's working and what's not in therapy. I'm also open to your feedback, and my ultimate aim is to help you gain the most from your therapeutic experience and foster your growth and healing. Each week, you'll acquire abilities that you may use in your personal and academic/professional life. You'll feel heard in a secure environment where you can be open with a therapist who understands you.
I understand how important it is to feel heard and supported when going through a healing process. That's why I take pride in creating a safe space where you can express yourself freely and explore your passions and strengths. Together, we will work towards developing coping skills that will help you overcome life's challenges. My goal is to empower you to live a fulfilling and joyous life. You can count on me to be an active listener and an engaged therapist who is committed to your well-being.
Many people seek counseling when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or when they’re feeling stuck and uncertain about the way forward. Perhaps you’re dealing with anxiety that disrupts your day-to-day, depression that makes it hard to connect, or grief that feels too heavy to bear alone. Alongside my work supporting clients through Rula, I have extensive experience in group therapy and individual counseling, working with diverse populations across many stages of life. My areas of expertise include managing anxiety, overcoming depression, processing grief, healing from trauma, and navigating major life transitions. I believe that a balanced lifestyle contributes to well-being, and I draw from these interests to bring a grounded, holistic approach to my practice. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward greater peace, resilience, and clarity.

Humanistic
Humanistic counseling is a psychological approach that emerged in the mid-20th century as a reaction to the limitations of psychodynamic and behaviorist theories. It emphasizes the importance of human experience, personal growth, and self-actualization. Some key figures associated with humanistic counseling include Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow, and Fritz Perls.
