Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina. I have experience working with adults, adults with SPMI, adolescents, and families seeking support to overcome trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, parenting issues, anger, self-esteem, codependency, and other challenges that arise in life. I completed a Bachelor's and Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a minor in substance abuse. I utilize a collaborative and holistic approach to helping individuals overcome their challenges because they’re experts in their lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I'm very solution focused, I typically spend the first session gathering information through a very casual format with discussion so that I don't make my clients feel like they are being interrogated. We work together to identify treatment goals and establish rapport and a good working relationship.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I feel my biggest strength is being relatable through my personal experiences with mental health issues, and being easy to talk to. I highly encourage my clients to be able to speak freely and frankly with me.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Women, Military, Ages 18+, Mens issues, Couples. I work well with treating depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, family and couples issues.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients challenge intrusive and negative thoughts, as well as reshaping negative thought processes.
