As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Navy veteran, and mother of three, I bring a diverse life perspective to my therapeutic practice. With over 20 years of experience as a military spouse and professional roles in medical administration and youth programs, I offer a grounded, empathetic approach to healing.
I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, and depression using evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). Whether you are a young person finding your way or an adult navigating life’s complexities, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to address the past and reclaim your present. I am a firm believer in the power of positive affirmation and the essential practice of self-care
I’m a licensed clinical social worker who provides a supportive, collaborative, and trauma-informed space for clients to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, respectful, and individualized, not rushed or one-size-fits-all. My role is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of your experiences, and support you in building skills and insight that translate into real-life change.
My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and informed by evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Child–Parent Psychotherapy when working with children and families. In practice, this means we may focus on understanding patterns between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills; exploring how past relationships impact present ones; clarifying values; or gently processing difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable. I place a strong emphasis on collaboration and choice, ensuring you remain an active participant in your care.
I work with adults, children, adolescents, and caregivers navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating despite their best efforts. Together, we work to increase clarity, self-compassion, and confidence while developing practical tools you can use outside of sessions.
Above all, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward in a way that feels authentic, sustainable, and aligned with your values.

I work especially well with action-oriented, goal-directed people who know something feels off but aren’t quite sure how to change it. Own a business or live the entrepreneurial lifestyle? I get the pressure that comes with keeping both your work and personal life functioning without running yourself into the ground.
If you’re ready to level up your thinking, boundaries, relationships, or productivity, you’re in the right place.
Think you may be dealing with narcissistic behavior at home or at work? We can sort through what’s happening, figure out what’s actually in your control, and build a strategy—whether that means navigating the situation more effectively or making a graceful exit.
You have options. Real life usually needs more than a few social-media therapy tips and a catchy quote.
Let’s get cooking. :)
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience, my approach blends a relaxed atmosphere with a clear, goal‑oriented structure. I’ll come to session with my coffee or tea in hand, and I hope you’ll settle in comfortably too. I view mental health as a long‑distance journey — one that requires patience, intention, and respect for the process. Each session follows an agenda designed to support your treatment goals, while still leaving room for anything you need to get off your shoulders. I’m excited to meet you and begin this work together.

My practice over the past 30 years as an LCMHC has allowed me to help people of diverse backgrounds overcome a variety of life's challenges. I help people by meeting with them, learning about their problems and discovering ways for them to feel more at ease. The most common issues that I help people with involve their moods (for example sadness, worrying, anger or stress) and with their relationships.
All types of people come to see me; people just like you who have hit a bump in the road and want to help themselves feel better again. I've focused on adults and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, controlling anger, family conflict, substance abuse, and behavioral issues. If you're looking for someone to help, I'd welcome your call!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping adults heal from trauma, chronic stress, and long-standing survival patterns. Many of the people I work with grew up navigating environments where safety, emotional support, or stability were inconsistent, and those experiences can continue to affect relationships, self-worth, and the nervous system well into adulthood.
My approach is compassionate, grounded, and practical. I integrate trauma-informed methods such as EMDR, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation to help clients move beyond survival mode and reconnect with a stronger sense of self.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process. Together we work at a pace that feels safe while building the insight, resilience, and self-trust needed for lasting change. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can be a powerful place to begin.

I have several years of experience treating individuals, families, and adolescents using a holistic, empathic, and trauma-informed approach. Watching friends and family struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues fueled my passion for helping those who struggle with these difficulties from a place of understanding, patience, and empathy. I received a BA in psychology first, which led to obtaining a substance abuse certificate. I gained experience working with families and individuals and, after some time, I was ready to further my education and obtained a Master of Social Work. This helped me expand my clinical skills and learn more targeted therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychoanalytical care, and art therapy. I found these approaches are a great synthesis of neuroscience, trauma, and creativity.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, and divorce, providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

Together, we'll identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck, process past experiences that continue to impact your present, and develop practical tools that help you create meaningful, lasting change.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, grieving a loss, struggling in your relationships, or navigating a major life transition, I'll meet you where you are. My goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence, self-awareness, and purpose.

Hi, I'm Matthew, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Cardinal Counseling Connection. I'm trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and listed with ICEEFT, and most of my work centers on helping men build a stronger, more honest relationship with themselves and the people they love.
Many of the men I work with came to therapy because something wasn't working,;maybe it's hard to put feelings into words, relationships feel harder than they should, or old coping strategies (working more, shutting down, numbing out) have started costing more than they help. My work is about helping you find your voice again: naming what you actually feel, understanding where old patterns come from, and learning to connect — with yourself first, then with the people around you.
I come to this work personally as well as professionally. Some of my own early experiences left me feeling like I had to manage everything alone, and I know what it costs to carry that. That's part of why I care so much about helping men find a different way; one where connection, not control, is the goal.
In session, I bring both structure and warmth. I'll ask real questions, name patterns you might not see on your own, and give you tools you can actually use. The work itself is collaborative, not clinical box-checking. My goal isn't just symptom relief; it's helping you build the kind of internal and relational life that feels sustainable and real.
If you're a man who's tired of white-knuckling it alone and ready to actually understand yourself, I'd be glad to work with you.

I feel that it is important to have your voice heard and I am here to provide a safe space just for that. I have worked as a therapist for the past 16 years with individuals and families. My goal is to help you reach for personal therapy goals.
I was drawn into the counseling field from a very early age, always curious about people, their relationships, ideas people embrace, choices they make. How do we solve problems or sometimes find them beyond our wisdom and imagination to solve? Even when we do our very best, sometimes we can’t seem to get it right. That can feel overwhelming and finding a way out can seem impossible. A warm and listening heart can be a big help providing the support needed to find our way again. With over 40 years of experience, I have helped a wide variety of people with many concerns.
