New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 8 years of experience working with diverse populations across a variety of settings. I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges while building confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self. I bring a supportive but gently challenging style to therapy where I will I’ll validate you, but I’ll also help you challenge yourself. Growth isn’t always comfortable, and sometimes a little lightness and motivation helps us face the difficult things. My goal is to create a space where you feel empowered, understood, and pushed in the best way to become the most confident version of yourself.
During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance between structure, compassion, and forward movement. I integrate CBT to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, DBT to strengthen emotional regulation and coping skills, Motivational Interviewing to enhance readiness for change, and a trauma-informed lens to ensure safety and empowerment throughout the process. Clients can expect a collaborative, honest space where insight is paired with action. I don’t just focus on symptom relief, I help clients build practical tools, increase self-awareness, and create sustainable change that extends beyond the therapy room.
Clients that I can best assist and serve are clients who struggle with the day-to-day stress and anxiety of life. Individuals who are feeling stuck in life and are looking to grow and challenge themselves to overcoming what they are experiencing. Someone who may be experiencing relationship issues, work frustrations, chronic illnesses are also individuals that I am positioned to serve.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With 8 years in practice, I use cognitive restructuring to examine distorted thinking and replace it with more balanced, realistic thoughts. I also incorporate behavioral strategies, such as exposure and skill-building exercises, to reduce avoidance and increase confidence. My goal is to equip clients with practical tools they can use independently to manage anxiety and self-doubt long term.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my practice to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness skills. I incorporate DBT techniques to support individuals who experience intense emotions, impulsivity, or difficulty managing stress. Through skills training and practical application, I help clients build healthier coping strategies and improve their ability to navigate challenging situations with greater balance and stability.
Trauma Informed Care
I practice from a trauma-informed care framework, ensuring that safety, trust, and empowerment are central to the therapeutic process. I recognize the impact trauma can have on emotional regulation, relationships, and belief systems, and I approach treatment with sensitivity to triggers and past experiences. By fostering collaboration and choice, I help clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and regain a sense of control in their healing journey
Motivational Interviewing
I incorporate Motivational Interviewing in my practice to help clients explore ambivalence and strengthen their internal motivation for change. Using a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach, I support clients in identifying their values and goals while resolving mixed feelings about behavior change. This process empowers clients to make decisions that align with their priorities and increases their confidence in taking meaningful action.
