I work with therapists and seasoned therapy folx who have been deep in top-down processing: they're insightful, self-aware, have read the things, and learned the skills. People who want to work with me are generally curious or drawn to something different: experiential modality, an authentic, therapeutic relationship, bottom-up processing, slowing down, or want to feel more connected to themselves, others, or an experience. If you have energy circling a specific question, issue, concern, or experience and/or are finding yourself missing or longing for something, feeling stuck, wanting more, intellectualizing less, or wanting to feel more connected in some way to what you already know, please reach out.

I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I have been counseling for over 13 years, with children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 18-30) being my specialty areas. I enjoy helping younger children make sense of the world around them and figure out how to navigate the big emotions they experience daily. With adolescents, I feel it is important to make them feel heard and have a safe space to process past or present trauma, peer-related issues, family stressors, and personal changes and emotions. For young adults, it is important for them to have a safe space to explore life transitions and the emotional and mental stressors or effects that may accompany these changes. I believe in working with each individual in a holistic way, considering all areas of their lives: emotional, physical, spiritual, familial support, personal, environmental, financial, and social. I utilize interventions based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing while incorporating play-based care, faith-based care, and Expressive Arts techniques. The counseling space is the space for individuals to feel safe, heard, and able to process any life circumstances, big or small, without judgment and with unconditional positive regard. I intend to create this safe space for healing and each individual's counseling journey.

A Big Hello to you. You are scanning all these profiles. Looking for something to stand out to make you say,"I will go with this one." It is daunting but you have made it this far. Here is the tip. Your choice is not terminal. It is absolutely ok to try multiple therapists to see who gets you the best. Who understands you the best. After each session, you should feel lighter. You may not recall all that was said, but you will note how you feel. Did you feel heard? Understood? Did the therapist talk to me like they were reading a book or did it sound like they really got me? When you get the right one, those questions will be answered with a firm, Yes.
---->Part of individual therapy is talking about friends, partners and loved ones. My training and focus are centered only on heterosexual relationship dynamics.
If you are looking for letters for work, ESA, Social Security, FMLA, Family Court, you will need a psychological evaluation by a forensic psychologist. I am not able to perform assessments, letters for claims or provide appearances in court.

Kudos to you for recognizing the need to focus on your overall well-being including your mental health. At the beginning of therapy many individuals often feel overwhelmed with various emotions, especially talking to a stranger about their concerns.
I seek to make my clients feel welcomed and heard by working with them to identify past and present life events and the impact they have on their interactions internally and externally. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life.
Counseling sets the stage for self-awareness, healing, grieving, feeling empowered which can lead to change and growth. What you allow will continue, and change is a personal choice. If you’re ready to challenge yourself and create the life you want, I look forward to working with you.
Hi, I’m Kanisha Johnson, founder of Infinite Wellness Within, LLC. As your therapist, my priority is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard. My name is Maykin K. Boyd LCSW, LCAS. I received my Master's in Social Work from East Carolina University. I hold licensure & provide therapy services as a clinical social worker (generalist), clinical addictions specialist. I have been in therapeutic practice for the past 6 years. I employ a variety of interventions in practice to include psychotherapy, psychoeducation, & coping skills development.
I’m a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, chronic stress, and health-related concerns. My approach is warm, compassionate, and integrative. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted—not judged or placed into a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
I draw from psychodynamic, relational, cognitive, solution-focused, and coaching approaches, as well as my background in health coaching and nervous-system regulation. Rather than relying on one particular method, I tailor our work to you: your personality, your history, your goals, and what you need at this point in your life.
I’m especially interested in helping people understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck while also developing practical tools for creating meaningful change. My goal is not simply to help you “fix” a problem, but to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, feel more emotionally grounded, and create a life and relationships that feel more aligned with who you are.
For clients working with me in person, I may also incorporate neurofeedback or BAUD (Bio-Acoustical Utilization Device) therapy when appropriate. These brain-based approaches can complement traditional talk therapy and may be helpful for nervous-system regulation, anxiety, and reducing the emotional intensity associated with difficult or traumatic memories. I see these tools as another way to support the therapeutic process—not a replacement for the relationship and deeper work that happens in therapy.

Welcome — I’m John Dyson, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), based in the foothills of North Carolina.
I want you to take a moment to acknowledge that you’ve already taken the first step toward bettering your mental health. Let’s be honest — starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even scary — sometimes all at once.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore concerns related to anxiety, depression, and self-care. I focus on helping clients build assertive communication skills and healthy boundaries, both with themselves and with others, in ways that support a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Therapy is an opportunity for personal growth in whatever way you're seeking — whether that means navigating specific challenges or building the life you deeply deserve. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m here when you’re ready.
Together, we’ll clarify the challenges you’re facing and identify where you want to be — a month, six months, or a year from now. Then, we’ll explore actionable strategies to help you move forward. You'll leave each session with a clearer understanding of your situation and a set of “next steps” you can begin right away.
There will always be space for feedback and collaboration in our work — including holding each other accountable as we walk this path together.

I most often support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. As a therapist, I’m friendly, dependable, compassionate, and easy to connect with, and I’m deeply invested in creating a space where you can feel supported and at ease. My focus is on helping you reconnect with a sense of internal safety, build meaningful self awareness, and develop a more caring and grounded relationship with yourself. I aim to create an environment that feels steady, encouraging, and even a little bit light when it’s helpful, one where healing, resilience, and alignment can grow. Ultimately, my goal is to help you strengthen your capacity to live with authenticity, clarity, and emotional freedom.
Hi, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in North Carolina. I received my degree from Saybrook University in California and have been practicing for the past 15 years. I have specialized training in Somatic Experiencing and Attachment Therapy. I support clients in bringing their nervous systems back into balance getting out of fight, flight and freeze to strengthen one's sense of safety, resourcefulness and resilience in the world. I also work with clients on "resourcing" or finding tools to help them self soothe when they are feeling emotionally overloaded. I specialize in individual therapy and am not currently seeing couples.
Hello, I am Chrissy Dingledine. I was born and raised in Ohio and in the past few years I moved to North Carolina. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with my Master's in Social Work in 2012. I am currently independently licensed in Ohio and North Carolina.
I have had a range of experience from providing crisis and solution focused treatment in a jail setting, providing holistic and solution focused treatment in a medical clinic, and providing care to adolescents in the school setting. Each setting has helped me grow as a provider and a person. One commonality from each experience is that we are all human and we all need support throughout our lives, and there is no shame in this. I am here to provide you with a safe space where you can speak openly and honestly. I want you to feel supported, seen and heard as you share personal details of your life. Together, we will work on finding ways to improve your well-being so you feel more confident in your lifestyle.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating—especially if you’ve spent a long time being the strong one, the helper, or the person who holds everything together. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, parenting stress, caregiver fatigue, and trauma, including sexual trauma. I provide trauma-informed therapy in a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you while building insight, practical coping tools, and confidence. For clients who desire it, I can also incorporate Christian perspectives into the therapeutic process.

These times are urgent. Let us slow down.” ― Bayo Akomolafe
Let's take things one breath at a time, slowing down instead of rushing through the hard parts. I don’t believe in fixing or solving everything all at once in the hopes it does not reoccur. Instead, I offer space for curiosity, vulnerability, and connection, because that’s often where healing begins. Together we’ll practice being with your experiences, not just getting past them.
I work with people facing all kinds of mental health and personal life challenges, and I especially love helping clients untangle old patterns and build new ones that feel more like them. My approach is relational and HUMOROUS, humanistic, honest, warm, and collaborative. I work mostly with teens and adults. Outside of therapy, I’m usually testing a new hairstyle, thrifting, listening to Afrobeats, or walking my dachshund, Winston-Bishop.

Traumatic experiences are, unfortunately, far more common than many people realize—and their impact can linger in ways that affect how we think, feel, and relate to others. For 16 years I have specialized in helping individuals process and heal from various types of trauma, including interpersonal violence and sexual assault, childhood abuse, and religious trauma. I also provide support for those caring for loved ones with complex medical needs, recognizing the unique form of secondary trauma, chronic stress, and emotional exhaustion that caregiving can bring.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed therapy. I incorporate practical tools for nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and building resilience, while always honoring your pace and your story. You can expect a space where you are believed, respected, and supported.
Healing is possible. Whether you are working through past trauma, navigating the challenges of caregiving, or trying to rebuild trust and stability, there is hope. I would be honored to walk alongside you- not as someone who has all the answers, but as someone who can help you make sense of what you’re feeling and move toward relief.
My stance is non-judgmental, honest, validating & empowering. I provide my clients with tangible coping skills & feedback to produce meaningful change. I would be honored if you chose me to help you navigate your way towards greater peace and healing. You don't have to have the roadmap to healing and you don't have to figure this out on your own.
