Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) based in North Carolina. I received my Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and have been practicing for the past 10 years. I help individuals struggling with depression and anxiety become the best versions of themselves. I believe clients are the experts of their lives and look forward to learning about you and how we can work together to move forward to a better future.
Hello I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I have over 30 years of experience working in mental health settings. I provide individual and couples counseling to adults only. I utilize CBT techniques most often. But I also tailor my sessions to the individuals or couples that I work with so I often utilize many other treatment approaches. I do my best to provide a safe, unbiased, nonjudgmental environment for my clients so they may feel comfortable discussing their feelings and concerns openly with me. I work to aid and support issues related to depression, anxiety, grief, relationship conflict, premarital counseling, job stress, LGBTQIA+ community issues and many more.
Hello, welcome to the beginning of this new therapy journey. Whether it's your first time or you've been here before - I am happy to support you in whatever you need! I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs, therapy is not one-size fits all! Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
I am licensed in North Carolina with seven years of professional work experience. I graduated from Appalachian State University with my Bachelors and Masters of Social Work, and have held a clinical license (LCSW) since 2019.
I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, family conflicts, parenting issues, life changes, anxiety, depression, motivation, self-esteem, career difficulties, school issues, financial struggles, and more. I work with any and all age groups, especially with teens and young adults.
Some of my more focused expertise are life changes regarding the growing pains of adolescence, personal relationships, career changes and loss as well as relationship issues including trust, infidelity, STDs, jealousy, commitment issues, attachment issues, codependency, and more. I have worked in-home with families with kids on juvenile probation, and am trained in Functional Family Therapy - which looks closely at the functions of the family and each member's role and behaviors and how to find solutions to the presenting problems.
My therapy style is very solution-focused and relatively fast paced. I typically meet with clients who need brief therapy for life changes and adjustment, or support with parenting, relationships, etc. but am able to do more long-term if desired!
Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counsellor (LCMHC) currently serving both North and South Carolina. I have utilized my Masters of Counseling in practice for 8 years. I've spent over 12 years as a Protective Services Social Worker and in that time I had the privilege to serve many people in many walks of life. That experience has given me a unique talent for connecting with people. I enjoy assisting older and young adults struggling with life, relationship and career stress, and others just finding it difficult to become the best versions of themselves.
Kudos to you for recognizing the need to focus on your overall well-being including your mental health. At the beginning of therapy many individuals often feel overwhelmed with various emotions, especially talking to a stranger about their concerns.
I seek to make my clients feel welcomed and heard by working with them to identify past and present life events and the impact they have on their interactions internally and externally. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life.
Counseling sets the stage for self-awareness, healing, grieving, feeling empowered which can lead to change and growth. What you allow will continue, and change is a personal choice. If you’re ready to challenge yourself and create the life you want, I look forward to working with you.
As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed clinical addictions specialist associate (LCASA), I am passionate about empowering individuals to harness their strengths and navigate life's challenges. At Comfort Counseling Cafe Corporation, I am committed to providing a warm and comfortable environment where clients can explore their unique journeys. As the owner, my mission is to foster resilience and well-being through a collaborative and supportive therapeutic experience.
Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns.
To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress.
My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki.
Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.
As a Therapist/Life Coach and owner of Journeys of Life Therapeutic Resources, I'm passionate about helping individuals transition into their best selves. I approach my work as a "transitioner," rather than a traditional therapist, guiding and supporting clients through life's challenges and towards personal growth. Life can be incredibly difficult to navigate and it's not uncommon to feel like a butterfly trapped in a cocoon, struggling to find your way out. That's where I come in - I stand by your side to assist you on your journey, providing the guidance, tools, and support needed to transform into the most beautiful version of yourself imaginable. At Journeys of Life Therapeutic Resources, I understand that every person's journey is unique. I offer a customized, holistic approach to therapy, meaning we tailor our services to fit your individual needs. We focus on developing a deep understanding of your goals and work together with you to craft a plan that helps you achieve them. Using therapeutic techniques, I help you navigate the complexities of life and tap into your inner strengths. Together, we create an environment where you feel secure, open, and empowered to embark on your journey of transformation. If you're looking to make a change in your life and transition into the best version of yourself, I'm here to help. Contact me today to begin unlocking your potential and discovering what's possible for your life.
As a professional, mom, wife and many other titles.. I strive to show up as my best self in every space. I work with individuals who want to be the best version of themselves and are committed to showing up. Showing up and pouring into yourself allows you to energize for the rest of the world. Change yourself and you can change your world.
Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with over 15 years of experience working as a Therapist and Care Manager. My experience includes working with adults, adolescents, children/families, and group work. I employ evidence-based treatments for mood disorders, anxiety, grief & loss. Specifically, my counseling approach is using cognitive-behavioral techniques and self-guided help. I will individualize our dialog and treatment plan to address your specific needs.
The counseling relationship is a professional relationship based on trust, security, and mutual respect.
I believe that everyone I engage with should be able to have a better, more harmonious well-being every day and I look forward to helping you achieve that goal.
I am excited to spend this time with you during your time of need. I believe therapy is a great tool to help you work through some of the difficulties that you face. I am a firm believer that once you have some good tools in place you will find yourself capable of handling anything life throws your way. I only will serve evening and some weekend hours.
On the outside, it may look like you're managing everything. On the inside, you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or surrounded by people but still feel completely alone. If you're reading this and thinking, "This sounds like me," you're exactly who I hoped to reach.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, relationship challenges, and life transitions. While those experiences may bring you to therapy, I believe our struggles don't happen in isolation. They often develop within the context of our relationships, experiences, and the roles we've learned to play. Together, we'll become curious about those patterns, question the expectations you've learned to carry, and decide which roles still fit the life you're trying to build and which you've outgrown.
Therapy can be a place to set some of that weight down and reconnect with yourself. It can be life changing to give yourself permission not to fit neatly into predefined boxes.

Welcome — I’m John Dyson, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), based in the foothills of North Carolina.
I want you to take a moment to acknowledge that you’ve already taken the first step toward bettering your mental health. Let’s be honest — starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even scary — sometimes all at once.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore concerns related to anxiety, depression, and self-care. I focus on helping clients build assertive communication skills and healthy boundaries, both with themselves and with others, in ways that support a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Therapy is an opportunity for personal growth in whatever way you're seeking — whether that means navigating specific challenges or building the life you deeply deserve. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m here when you’re ready.
Together, we’ll clarify the challenges you’re facing and identify where you want to be — a month, six months, or a year from now. Then, we’ll explore actionable strategies to help you move forward. You'll leave each session with a clearer understanding of your situation and a set of “next steps” you can begin right away.
There will always be space for feedback and collaboration in our work — including holding each other accountable as we walk this path together.

One thing I would tell you is that a have a real passion and commitment to counseling and the therapeutic process. It is and has been what I love to do. I put tremendous value on the importance communication, language, and building a good therapeutic relationship or rapport. Its important to me that you, the patient feel safe, heard, and valued. My counseling style is very laid back and supportive, with a very non-judgmental stance. However, I am not afraid to roll my sleeves up and work hard. I believe in being supportive, motivating, and challenging. Its important that you have the opportunity to work hard, learn, grow, while developing realistic attainable and measurable goals.
Greetings to all of you. My name is Jameion B. Fowler. I'm so happy to be able to work with a variety of different populations throughout my career. These include Mental Health, Substance Abuse and work with Children and families. I am currently working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist. I am currently licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Hello, I am a licensed professional therapist in North Carolina. My experience has centered on working with diverse populations, from military-affiliated, college, and community behavioral health and private practice. Working within these settings has allowed my involvement with various ages, genders, cultures, and life experiences. My theoretical orientation is Constructivism; therefore, I need to understand my client's life perspectives and how that has influenced their worldview. In working with clients, I also practice an integrated approach using constructivism, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused therapies, and others. Person-centered focuses on the client and allows the client to process feelings and thoughts in a non-judgmental environment with unconditional positive regard. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on the role of thinking in the process of influencing a person's feelings of well-being and how controlling thoughts can affect mental health. This approach maintains the link between emotions and behaviors in the cognitive process. The humanistic therapeutic method emphasizes the counseling relationship and the importance of quality, genuineness, positive regard, and empathy in the counseling relationship. Solution-focused therapy utilizes skills already present to help navigate current concerns, focusing on being present and checking facts on emotions and feelings that might direct reactive responses to stressors. Constructivism proves the space for cultural humility and openness to worldviews I might not have had the privilege to interact with previously.
