I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is skilled in numerous modalities that includes both EMDR and sensorimotor therapies. My specialties go to the root of the problem and finds the silver thread or in therapeutic terms the neurobiological network that connects the negative beliefs inherent in all the trauma the patient experienced. In addition to my trauma training I earned my RPT (registered play therapist) and I have extensive knowledge of child development and counseling children and adolescents. I am willing to counsel adolescents online but children younger than 12 must be seen in person.

I provide more than talk therapy & integrate a clinical approach grounded in research on neuroscience and psychology. I have 21-plus years of post-licensure experience and a demonstrated history of providing comprehensive clinical expertise in addition to supervising and training other therapists as a clinical supervisor. My educational and career development opportunities were significantly enriched through clinical supervision with a psychiatrist, which provided invaluable insights into diagnostic frameworks, and effective treatment interventions. Additionally, my work alongside multidisciplinary clinical treatment teams at various psychiatric hospitals has enhanced my understanding of holistic mental health care, and deepened my skills in managing complex cases, contributing to patient assessments, and coordinating effective interventions across diverse treatment settings.

My life experiences drew me to become a therapist and gave me a strong desire to help others on their paths. I have worked in a variety of settings, from schools, jails, and hospitals to private practice. I have specialized training in TF-CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, autism, and women's issues, including perinatal, postpartum, and perimenopausal/menopausal issues. My specialties consist of relationships, men’s issues, career counseling, and psychosomatic illnesses. I received my Bachelors degree in Child Psychology, working initially with the adolescent population before transitioning over to adults. I then received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.
