LCSW, 9 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 9 years of experience. I'm passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. I have extensive experience and training working with a variety of needs including but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-injury, behavior and emotion-based challenges, trauma, problematic sexual behavior, self-esteem, and relationship conflicts. My aim is to empower, support, and motivate clients to develop tools in the areas of emotion regulation, communication, and self-awareness to aid in reducing unhealthy behaviors, relationships, and barriers.
Your first session is really about getting to know each other and starting to build a strong, trusting foundation. We'll spend time simply talking — there's no pressure to dive into everything all at once. My priority is to help you feel safe, supported, and understood. I want to understand who you are, not just what you're struggling with. This means creating space for you to share at your own pace, asking thoughtful questions, and beginning to build a connection where you feel comfortable being yourself. You can also ask me any questions you have about the therapy process, and we’ll talk about what ongoing work together might look like. This session sets the tone, but it’s just the beginning — we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
What makes my work with clients unique is the combination of genuine connection, evidence-based practices, and a deep respect for each person’s individual journey. My approach isn’t one-size-fits-all — it's collaborative, flexible, and grounded in real change. Clients often tell me they feel seen, heard, and deeply understood — sometimes for the first time. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where trust can grow. That relationship becomes the foundation for meaningful, lasting work.
My practice focuses on helping children, adolescents, and adults manage anxiety, adjust to life transitions, cope with behavioral and emotional challenges, process trauma, build a healthier self-image, and improve relationship dynamics. I tailor my approach to meet each client where they are. In my work, I incorporate a mixture of therapeutic techniques and modalities such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and traditional talk based therapy to help clients build insight, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change.
As a clinician, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. Through structured sessions, I guide clients in developing more adaptive ways of thinking and coping, often using techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and exposure. CBT allows me to take a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that empowers clients to build practical skills for managing anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
In my practice, I use psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore how unconscious patterns, early life experiences, and relational dynamics influence their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By fostering insight into these underlying processes, clients can begin to understand and resolve internal conflicts that may be impacting their well-being. This approach allows for deep, reflective work that supports lasting emotional growth and improved relationships.
In my practice, I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to clients who have experienced traumatic events. I help them process the trauma in a safe, structured way by combining cognitive techniques with gradual exposure and emotional regulation strategies. This approach allows me to address trauma symptoms while fostering resilience and a sense of safety in my clients.
