LCSW, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi! I am Nicole. I have had the opportunity to live abroad and travel the world and one thing I found that all humans have in common is the need for connection. The basis of my practice is building a positive and warm connection with all my clients using humor and being genuinely curious about what is going on in the life of my clients. Life is not easy, but you can become more equipped to handle it by developing practical skills that will lead to building confidence and resilience. I want my clients to feel comfortable, respected, and seen. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) I received my Master's in Social Work from University of Pennsylvania and have worked in many different capacities as a Social Worker. I have experience working in K-12 schools as a school social worker and at the University level coaching students. I've trained in a hospital, schools, inpatient facilities, private practice, and a University setting.
In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive space where we move at your pace. I’ll ask gentle questions to get to know you—what’s been weighing on you, what you hope to change, and what feels important for me to understand. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out; my goal is simply to help you feel heard, safe, and grounded as we begin. Together, we’ll start mapping out what you want from therapy and how we can work as a team to support your growth and well-being.
What makes my approach stand out—especially for young adults and adults—is the balance of evidence-based tools with genuine warmth, an open mind, and a sense of humor that keeps therapy feeling human and approachable. I meet you exactly where you are, whether you’re figuring out who you are, overwhelmed by big emotions, or navigating school, work, relationships, or major life transitions. Using practical skills from DBT, CBT, and mindfulness-based therapy, I help you build insight and learn strategies you can actually use in your day-to-day life. Clients often tell me they feel seen, supported, and better equipped to handle stress, set boundaries, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and authentic.
I’m especially passionate about supporting young adults and adults who are navigating big emotions, new responsibilities, and major life changes. My ideal clients are those who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next steps and want a space where they can be honest, supported, and understood. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship stress, identity questions, or the pressures of school and early career life, I work best with individuals who are open to learning practical coping skills, building confidence, and creating a more grounded, balanced version of themselves.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In our work together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore how they influence daily life, and practice practical skills to create meaningful change. Sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented, often incorporating thought-tracking, cognitive reframing, and behavioral strategies such as exposure or behavioral activation. I provide structured tools to support clients between sessions so they can build confidence, gain insight, and develop long-term coping skills. My approach is warm, empowering, and focused on helping clients create sustainable shifts in how they think, feel, and show up in their lives.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy is an evidence-supported approach that blends traditional psychotherapy with mindfulness practices such as breath awareness, grounding, and non-judgmental observation of thoughts and emotions. I use it to help clients build greater present-moment awareness, reduce stress, and develop healthier responses to difficult feelings. By learning to notice internal experiences rather than react automatically, individuals cultivate resilience, emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of calm and clarity.
In my practice, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical skills for navigating intense emotions, improving relationships, and building distress tolerance. I focus on grounding clients in mindfulness, teaching them to observe their internal experiences without judgment, while also introducing concrete tools from the emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness modules. By balancing acceptance with meaningful behavior change, I support clients in moving toward greater stability, resilience, and self-compassion.
