As a therapist—and a mom of three—I understand that life rarely moves in straight lines. My clients describe me as interactive, straightforward, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation. Whether my clients are ready to dive in or just beginning to consider change, I focus on building a genuine connection rooted in trust, respect, and collaboration.
Life can feel overwhelming, and managing strong emotions isn’t easy. This is a supportive space where individuals can slow down, feel heard, and regain their footing. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies, I help navigate challenges, build resilience, and strengthen confidence.
My approach is personalized, practical, and focused on helping you feel more confident, balanced, and resilient. I draw from therapies like CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed, and Strengths-Based approaches to help with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and the effects of past trauma. Together, we practice skills like managing difficult thoughts and emotions, building coping strategies, and using your personal strengths. I also use measurement-based care, tracking your progress to make sure therapy is effective and tailored to your goals.
I work with individuals navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in women’s health, as well as relationship and family dynamics, and I bring a trauma informed, individualized approach to each client’s journey. I also specialize in supporting college and post-graduate students.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. I guide clients through structured techniques such as thought records, where they track negative thoughts, examine evidence for and against them, and reframe them into more balanced perspectives. This approach helps clients develop practical coping skills, build self-confidence, and create lasting positive change in their daily lives.
In my practice, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage intense emotions, reduce anxiety and depression, and build self-esteem. I teach mindfulness and distress tolerance skills, helping clients navigate challenging emotions without being overwhelmed or reactive. This approach empowers clients to respond to difficulties more effectively, improve relationships, and cultivate lasting emotional balance.
I incorporate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to support clients in managing anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges. Through practices like focused breathing and body scans, clients learn to observe their thoughts and emotions with curiosity and nonjudgmental awareness. This approach fosters self-compassion, reduces stress reactivity, and helps clients build lasting emotional balance.
I take a Trauma-Informed Care approach to support college students navigating the impact of past trauma on their mental health, including anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges. I help students build safety and grounding skills, develop healthy coping strategies, and process experiences at a pace that feels manageable. This approach fosters resilience, self-compassion, and a greater sense of control over their emotional well-being.
As a social worker, I use a Strengths-Based Therapy approach to help clients recognize and build on their inherent resources and abilities. I work with clients to identify personal strengths, set achievable goals, and develop strategies that leverage those strengths in overcoming challenges such as anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. This approach empowers clients to foster resilience, confidence, and a greater sense of agency in their lives.
