Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Dr. Nance wants to get to know you and the issues that have brought you to therapy. She will also tell you about herself and background. The goal of the first meeting is to assess the ability to build a productive therapeutic relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Empathy and the ability to relate to her client's experiences are her greatest strengths. Dr. Nance is very positive even on her bad days. She seeks to help others no matter who they are or where she is.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Aubria desires to help individuals that seek to become their best selves. She works well with clients that are looking to work through issues that are holding them back, find solutions and move forward.

My treatment methods

Integrative

Integrative therapy is an individualized, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on the unique needs of a given client.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution focus brief therapy (SFBT) is a strength-based approach to psychotherapy that focuses on solution-building rather than problem-solving. Unlike other forms of psychotherapy that analyze present problems and past causes, SFBT concentrates on current circumstances and future hopes.

Multicultural

Multicultural counseling is a type of counseling where the therapist addresses the struggles of a client whose race, gender, socioeconomic background, religion, or any other part of their identity doesn't fit in with the majority.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps people change their thinking and behavior. It's often used to treat anxiety and depression, but it can also help with other mental and physical health problems.

My first session felt good. I feel like Dr. Bree sees me and understands what I have such a hard time explaining to people. I’m looking forward to future sessions.

She’s the best at helping me reframe situations and also helping me to look at situations from other perspectives. I have a lot of moments when I work with Dr. Bree where I can safely admit my own shortcomings and see how my behavior and actions may appear to others. She is helping me through a very difficult family time!
