My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My clients learn to challenge and reframe irrational or negative thought patterns. I help my clients examine the evidence for and against their thoughts, encouraging a more balanced and realistic perspective. I often are give homework assignments to practice the skills learned in therapy. These assignments help reinforce new ways of thinking and behaving between sessions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

We will discuss specific issues you're facing and develop strategies for coping. Engage in regular mindfulness meditation. This can include mindful breathing, observing thoughts without judgment, or focusing on the present moment. I will help identify patterns and target areas for improvement by having you track your emotions and behaviors. . When facing intense emotions I will help you set and achieve small, realistic goals to increase self-esteem. Learn and practice assertiveness skills, such as saying no and setting boundaries. Improve communication by expressing needs and desires effectively.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

We will shift the focus from the problem to potential solutions. I encourage my clients to think about times when the problem was less severe or not present at all. We explore the your coping mechanisms and strengths. Ask questions like, "What have you done in the past that has helped you deal with similar situations?" Provide positive feedback and reinforcement for your strengths and efforts. We will focus on what is working and acknowledge progress.
