I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in New Jersey with over 10 years of field experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My approach is grounded in empathy and creating a safe, supportive environment while also offering thoughtful challenges when they are clinically appropriate and helpful for growth. Choosing the right therapist matters, and if you feel we may be a good fit, I welcome the opportunity to work together.
Our first session typically follows a person-centered, strengths-based approach, helping you explore what brought you to therapy and identify meaningful goals. This foundation allows us to develop a clear, individualized path toward healthy change and progress.
My clinical specialties include substance use disorders and addiction, grief, depression, anxiety, mindfulness, trauma, and co-occurring mental health concerns. As a veteran, I have a strong interest in working with veterans and first responders. I am trained in EMDR and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention. My professional background includes counseling at a highly respected substance use treatment center, serving as a staff social worker in a correctional facility, conducting outpatient substance use assessments, and providing therapy for adolescents and adults in outpatient and private practice settings.

I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I support clients in maintaining autonomy as they work through and process life’s challenges, using empathy and unconditional positive regard as the foundation of our work together. Consistency in this approach helps build trust, strengthen connection, and allows me to meet you where you are mentally in a nonjudgmental and supportive way.
Motivational Interviewing
Through a person-centered approach, I help clients explore ambivalence, clarify their goals, and move forward with the treatment plan we collaboratively develop. This process encourages self-awareness, empowerment, and meaningful progress toward lasting change.

Coming back to therapy, I was a bit apprehensive, but Anthony has made the process a smooth transition. He makes me feel heard while also challenging me to grow. I appreciate the encouragement as well as the time he takes to understand my thought processes. His attention to detail and calming presence have helped create an atmosphere where I feel respected, validated, and safe to share whatever I need.

It was his profile that got me to make my first appointment, but it was the appointment itself. That will keep me coming back. He is candid and direct while remaining compassionate, and these are hard qualities to be able to combine.

Mr. Anthony was very kind and welcoming. I was very comfortable speaking with him. It's like he wasn't a stranger at all. He gave me some good coping strategies that I am going to try this week.
