Life can be challenging, especially when you're balancing relationships, parenting, caregiving, work responsibilities, and the expectations you place on yourself. It's easy to find yourself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. My goal is to provide a space where you can feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported while creating meaningful change. I work with individuals, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, life transitions, caregiver stress, and family challenges. Together, we explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical tools for managing emotions and stress, and strengthen the relationships that matter most. My approach combines evidence-based strategies with compassion, curiosity, and a belief that growth happens when people feel safe enough to be honest about both their struggles and strengths. Whether you're working through a difficult season, healing from past experiences, improving communication, or seeking greater balance in your life, I strive to help you build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and move toward a life that feels more connected and fulfilling. Outside of my work, I most enjoy spending time getting outdoors with my family. Whether we're exploring nature, staying active, or simply enjoying time together, these experiences remind me of the importance of connection, balance, and being present in the moments that matter most. You don't have to navigate it all alone.

Hi there, I'm Farah Ali. I am a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and dedicated advocate for my clients. My educational foundation is based in psychology and social justice, having earned my master's degree in social work with a dual concentration in community practice and clinical mental health. Driven by a strong commitment to human rights and social justice, I am dedicated to advocating for every individual I work with and the communities I am part of. My Core Principles as a Therapist: Focusing on Strengths & Empowerment: Central to our work is helping you to more deeply connect to—and really use—your inherent strengths. This means looking for growth opportunities where some might find roadblocks and accessing both internal and external resources to help you make the changes you want to see in your life. Working for Comprehensive Wellness: Therapy is a place where we can work toward mental and emotional wellness, learn how to foster positive relationships, and discover a greater sense of balance and ease in your day-to-day life. Promoting Connection & Authenticity: The relationship we have is vital, which is why I work hard to make sure our relationship is a nurturing space for meaningful growth. Creating Safety in Being Seen: I strive to make our sessions a place where every emotion is valued, encouraged, and supported—yes, even the “bad” or “undesirable” emotions. This is the space we cultivate together in our work, and space that is here to help you more deeply see yourself, and be seen in your authenticity.

My approach is often conversational, and straightforward. I believe there is room for some laughter in therapy, even when we’re talking about difficult things. If I can help you feel comfortable enough to be honest and occasionally laugh at the ridiculousness of life, I consider that a win. I’ll meet you with compassion, but I’ll also challenge you when it can help you grow. Drawing from approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based therapy, and trauma-focused care, we’ll work together to better understand what’s happening beneath the surface, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that fit your life.

Licensed Psychotherapist | Culturally Sensitive | Trauma-Informed Welcome, I’m Nubia. Healing doesn’t happen overnight — but with the right support, it absolutely happens. Whether you're working through trauma, betrayal, anxiety, divorce, or simply feeling emotionally stuck, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, strength, and care. I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, or emotional wounds that have been hard to process alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure of how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we explore the deeper “why” behind those patterns — and create space for healing, resilience, and growth. My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These methods help us understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected — and how to gently shift the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. But beyond technique, I lead with authenticity, compassion, and cultural awareness. In our sessions, you’ll find a space that feels safe, honest, and judgment-free. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning to it, you are welcome exactly as you are. Clients often tell me they feel more centered, more empowered, and more hopeful after working together. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and virtual sessions, because healing should fit into real life. If you’re ready to begin your journey — whether you’re clear on your goals or still figuring them out — I’d be honored to support you. Let’s take the first step, together. We all go through some things from time to time and should be able allowed to talk with someone who is willing to listen and provide us with the support that we need.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
