Do you often feel overwhelmed with life? Or do you feel that something from your past is keeping you stuck? I can help with anxiety, depression, past trauma, negative self talk, relationship issues and more. I have found great success with walking along side the people I work with to help them move from where they are to where they want to be…wherever that might be! I’m nonjudgmental and accepting of all walks of life- LGBTQIA+ individuals are welcome.
I didn’t get into therapy to “fix” people, I use my practice to guide and help find new ways of doing or looking at things. I love being able to track the progress my clients make when they utilize the skills we’ve talked about in session. I use a mix of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for most cases. For those suffering from PTSD, I use my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional training which includes somatic (body) work along with narrative work, all of which is grounded in the neuroscience of trauma. I have my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate as well, meaning I am aptly trained to help with anyone transitioning into new parenthood. I’m not overly concerned with labels and diagnoses, I’m just here to help you make changes to function and feel better day to day.
If you think my approach sounds like it would help you, please reach out and we can schedule our first session to determine if we’ll be a good fit to work together moving forward. I genuinely can’t wait to meet you.

Welcome! My name is Katie and I am a LCSW (licensed clinical social worker). I have worked in various settings (residential, home-based, outpatient in person and virtual) for therapy and general case management for all sorts of populations (children to more experienced individuals). I am a clinical mental health counselor with six years of experience as a trauma specialist, I am dedicated to supporting clients in resolving the lingering effects of past traumatic events. Trauma often manifests as persistent anxiety and disruption across key areas of functioning. My therapeutic approach is designed to help clients process these experiences and restore a sense of stability, empowerment, and well-being.
If you struggle with anxious attachment, people pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ ADHD, then I want to work with you. These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. (ADD and ADHD is not cause by caregivers, however, when it goes undiagnosed in children, there is s strong correlation to symptoms described above)

Stop. Unclench your jaw. Relax your shoulders. Breath. My practice has been focused on decreasing the effects of trauma, depression, and anxiety in both adults and children through a mind and body approach. While working with children and adults there is a focus on the present while relieving symptoms caused by the past. Therapy is a relationship between a provider and client that supports positive change. I have witnessed these changes while working with each of my clients and as a client myself. I truly believe that I can help you and/or your children improve your mood and decrease negative behaviors.

Looking for coping skills to manage frequent daily stressors, previous trauma, depression or anxiety? I've been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for 23 years and have had a variety of different roles in the behavioral health field. I believe my personal and employment experiences over the years helps to inform the way I am with clients.
While I work mostly with adult individuals at this time, I'm skilled in relationship dynamics and work a lot with individuals who are also involved in therapy with their spouse or significant other. Sometimes individual therapy is required to address personal issues which impact the relationship.
Reaching out for help or trying therapy for the first time can be stressful for some due to past trauma, fear of vulnerability, trust issues, the unknown, etc. If you've made it this far, I'm glad you're pushing through the uncomfortableness in hopes of finding new skills or techniques to help improve your current situation.
**I'm licensed in IL, IN, and NM.**

I am Becky Hunt, and I have had my LCSW for the past 7 years. I have been practicing for 13 years, 6 of those in community mental health and 7 of those in my own private practice. I feel as if becoming a therapist is a calling for me. Having grown up with significant anxiety symptoms, an OCD diagnosis, and some painful eating-disorder issues have created in me an overwhelming desire to help others navigate through this tough world. I am not unfamiliar with conflict and how uncomfortable it can be for some and have found ways to be bold and assertive despite the discomfort and pain. I have a faith that helps me gain insight and perspective on a daily basis and love helping others with some of the same principals and beliefs that strengthen me. I also like to laugh, when I can, about the absurdities of life; I believe is humor is an often overlooked coping skill.
Hi, thank you for visiting my page. I help my clients by offering thoughtful and tailored support that meets them where they are. Through evidence-based practices, my goal is to help clients renew their minds by building new neuropathways, moving towards a life aligned with their values. My approach is collaborative, client centered, goal driven and focused on long-term success.

I am an LCSW with fifteen years of experience working in an outpatient setting and private practice treating anxiety, mood disorders, grief, acute/chronic stress, relationship/codependency issues, life transitions, and trauma. I approach treatment from a holistic perspective-addressing and integrating all aspects of an individual. Treating the whole person and exploring all of the factors playing a role in your overall well-being. Together we will explore the symptoms, issues, and patterns that are no longer working and develop strategies and techniques to foster a greater self-awareness and understanding as well as to create more internal freedom.
As a licensed clinical therapist, I am passionate about walking alongside clients as they discover and grow into their best selves. I strive to create a safe, supportive space grounded in strong rapport, collaboration, empowerment, and authenticity — a place where transparency is welcomed and even silence is respected as part of the healing process. I help clients recognize patterns of negative self-talk and learn practical, effective ways to reframe those thoughts, while cultivating self-compassion and a deeper understanding of their inherent worth. My approach focuses on identifying and building upon each person’s strengths to foster resilience, clarify personal values, and establish healthy boundaries that protect their energy and well-being. Together, we work to reduce guilt and shame, strengthen a sense of identity, and reinforce the truth that you matter. Hello! I began my social work journey in 2006 and have been working in the mental health field since I obtained my MSW in 2008. As a clinical social worker I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of helping individuals identify and address many mental health concerns and move towards the life they most desire. I am passionate about addressing the stigma around addictions and serious mental illness and I believe the best way to begin any mental health journey of recovery is with compassion and understanding. I work from a cognitive-behavioral perspective and I use a strengths-based orientation of empowerment to foster growth and progress. I feel that we are already our best selves-we just need some help letting go of the survival skills we've taken on to get through the toughest times in our lives. I have spent several years working exclusively with homeless veterans and individuals struggling with addiction, and this has given me additional perspective and insight into the needs of some of our most vulnerable populations. I am an advocate, an accountability partner, an empath and your greatest cheerleader. I'm excited to help you rediscover your best self and to claim the life you deserve.

I am licensed as an LMFT, licensed marriage and family therapist, LMHC, licensed mental health counselor, and LCAC, licensed clinical addictions counselor. Let me share my belief and philosophy on therapy and counseling! I believe that a therapist works best with a client when they take time to first understand the person, their background, and any and all knowledge that may help facilitate the process of therapy.
But it's not only that, right? It is important that, in therapy, we work to provide and cultivate a safe place to share, and a time to work on your concerns, so that you feel better and able to go forward in your life with greater resolve, and more peace of mind. We can do this! I have seen it happen all the time! You can feel better!
I work in solution focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, family systems therapy, and provide psychoeducation as needed as well. While I am not a medical professional and cannot make medical diagnoses, I am conversant with psychopharmacology and can help you perhaps clarify how to communicate with your medical provider.
Please feel free to call me. I see clients using telehealth at this time.
