Even strong, successful couples can struggle behind closed doors. Stress, busy schedules, communication breakdowns, unresolved hurt, intimacy challenges, parenting demands, and career pressures can slowly create distance in a relationship that once felt effortless.
I work with couples who want more than just fewer arguments — they want to feel connected, understood, desired, and supported again. Together, we work to improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional and physical intimacy, and create healthier ways of navigating conflict and partnership.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Sex Therapist with 17 years of experience, I help couples strengthen both their relationship and their connection so they can build a marriage that feels secure, passionate, and sustainable long-term.
Living life is an ever changing process, which can be difficult to navigate on your own. My approach is interactive & compassionate. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been counseling clients dealing with a variety of mental, emotional, and relational issues for a number of years. I have counseled adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups. I decided to pursue a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy because I realized the impact that our families, and society as well, have on our mental and emotional development. The impact is both positive and negative and may manifest as depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, a lack of a sense of self and other mental and emotional disorders.
In counseling, I help clients explore those influences and the impact on their life. My specialties then center around helping clients gain insight into those influences, become more empowered, develop a stronger sense of self, and take steps to become who they really are; thereby addressing mental and emotional health issues.
It's important to note that many times, experiences unfortunately include trauma and loss. It may be childhood or other trauma. Identifying, acknowledging and processing trauma and loss is therefore often a part of the process of becoming more empowered and developing that strong sense of self described above.

I'm Amy, a LMHC, who has been in the counseling world for over 15 years and love what I get to do. I started my career in the community health sector which I learned so much and worked with diverse groups of people with an array of various needs. I have worked in school settings as well as in homes. I have been deep within the community in many of my roles along the way.
I have developed many techniques along the way as not one intervention will work for everyone. Some of the modalities I use are EMDR, CBT, Motivational interviewing, solution-focused techniques as well as a combination of these.
I meet people where they are, maybe having to learn how they are even feeling let alone how to cope with that feeling. Maybe we have a tool, but if no one ever took the time to teach us, then what good is that tool?
Dr. Holly Varona, PhD, LPC, CPC is a bilingual, Latina licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia with a humanistic approach to therapy rooted in both Eastern and Western theories, techniques, and philosophies. Dr. Holly uses a wide array of modalities to fit the individual needs of each of her clients, who are mostly working through trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, religious trauma, cult recovery, weight issues, body image issues, self-worth, self-esteem, and self-efficacy issues.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, but you don't have to face it alone. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, stress, or a major life transition, I'm here to help you move forward one step at a time.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience supporting adolescents and families and several years of clinical counseling experience, I've had the privilege of helping people through many different seasons of life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing, so we'll work together to identify your strengths, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful goals that fit your life.
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself, gain new insight, and build the confidence to create lasting change. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable while focusing on the goals that matter most to you.
