I am a licensed psychologist with over 18 years of experience providing evidence-based, multiculturally sensitive psychotherapy. I earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Georgia, a M.S. in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University, and a B.B.A. in Risk Management from The University of Georgia. My approach emphasizes self-awareness, insight, and behavioral change, using supportive challenge and practical strategies to foster growth. I believe in the power of thoughts to shape emotions and behaviors and am committed to helping clients build resilience and lead more fulfilling lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I help clients gain awareness of how their thoughts and behaviors impact different areas of their lives. I ask two questions: (1) Is what you are currently doing working for you? and (2) What are you willing to change? During the therapy session, you can expect me to supportively challenge your irrational beliefs, in an effort to help you develop insight about unhealthy behavioral patterns that negatively impact your relationships, self-esteem, and ability to set and accomplish goals. In addition, clients can look forward to receiving "homework", as most of the therapeutic change process actually, takes place outside of the counseling session.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I pride myself on delivering evidenced-based, multiculturally sensitive psychotherapy. I provide a safe space for you to explore and process your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I align with clients to cultivate a supportive, encouraging, non-judgmental, therapeutic relationship.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I provide multiculturally sensitive psychotherapy for adolescents and adults through individual, couples, and family counseling. My expertise includes treating anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal challenges, substance abuse, and relationship issues. In addition to therapy, I offer consultation and outreach to public safety organizations and businesses, including churches, organizations, and corporations. I also facilitate trainings and seminars on communication skills, conflict resolution, work-life balance, and healthy relationships.
Integrative
I am a compassionate and experienced licensed psychologist who specializes in an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs. By combining elements from various evidence-based modalities—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and humanistic approaches—I provide a personalized and holistic path to healing. With a deep understanding that no single method fits all, I work collaboratively with clients to address a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. Whether navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or life transitions, I create a safe and supportive space for self-exploration, growth, and resilience. Committed to empowering individuals on their journey toward well-being, I integrate scientific insight with a warm, client-centered approach, ensuring that therapy is both effective and meaningful.

Dr G is absolutely amazing!!! I needed someone to just hear me. To hear what and how I’m feeling and she did just that. She allowed me to express my hurt without being judged. And for that I’m grateful
