My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In our sessions, we work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier ways of coping with stress. CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and practical—providing tools that clients can use both in and outside of therapy to create lasting, meaningful change.

Existential

I incorporate an existential approach to help clients explore meaning, purpose, and personal identity within their life experiences. In our sessions, we focus on understanding your values, choices, and the emotions that arise from navigating life’s uncertainties. This approach encourages self-reflection, authenticity, and empowerment—supporting you in creating a life that feels aligned with who you are and what matters most to you. Existential therapy provides a compassionate space to explore questions about direction, freedom, responsibility, and fulfillment.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients develop awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. In our sessions, we practice grounding techniques, mindful breathing, and nonjudgmental observation to reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and enhance overall well-being. This approach encourages you to respond to challenges with clarity and calm rather than react out of habit or overwhelm. Mindfulness-based work supports greater self-compassion, resilience, and balance both inside and outside of therapy.

Humanistic

I use a humanistic approach in therapy to create a warm, accepting, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely. This approach emphasizes your capacity for growth, self-awareness, and positive change. In our sessions, I focus on understanding your lived experiences, honoring your perspective, and supporting you in connecting with your strengths and inner resources. Humanistic therapy encourages authenticity, self-discovery, and personal empowerment as you work toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their ambivalence, strengthen their motivation, and build confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes. In our sessions, I take a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach—supporting your autonomy while gently guiding you toward your goals. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirming your strengths, MI helps you clarify what you want, why it matters, and how you can take the next steps. This approach empowers you to move toward change at your own pace and in a way that feels authentic and achievable.
