Counseling is more than a career choice for me. It’s my response to what I believe is a divine calling that I’m honored to answer! Professionally I hold Master’s degrees in Education and Clinical Mental Health, a National Board Certification in Counseling and a Professional Counselor license. My credentials qualify me in this work but it’s my passion for people, my fascination with human behavior and conviction about humans’ birthright to sustainable joy that drives me.
I take a holistic, integrative approach to counseling, exploring the needs of the whole person - mind, body and spirit. I'll encourage you to embrace the idea that we're all intrinsically whole and have power in all circumstances that life and choices confront us with. Despite how bleak things may seem, you'll be reminded you have what it takes to not only endure but prevail! Sometimes we just need a little help discovering growth and meaning amid the noise of our anxieties, fears and regrets.
I'm Gem Coleman, a Licensed Professional Counselor. My practice and professional journey of over 15 years is rooted in the belief that rest is a birthright and ease is something every person deserves, not something they have to earn.
My path to this work was not a straight line. It was shaped by lived experience, personal healing, and a deep calling to create the kind of therapeutic space I once needed myself. I understand what it means to appear capable and composed on the outside while quietly carrying more than anyone around you knows. That understanding is not just clinical for me ,it is personal, and it informs every room I create for my clients.
I am relational, warm, and direct. I believe in going beneath the surface , not to excavate pain for its own sake, but because real healing lives in the places we haven't yet had the courage or the safety to explore. I draw on a range of evidence-informed approaches, including CBT, ACT, EFT, and somatic therapy, always tailoring my work to the whole person in front of me.
My Caribbean roots, my faith, and my commitment to equity shape both who I am and how I practice. I am especially passionate about serving communities where the stigma around mental health has too often stood between people and the support they deserve.
If you've been waiting for a sign that it's finally your turn ,this is it.

I've been a mental health counselor longer than I was a person and when I discovered such I realized how to turn my life journey and passion for wellness and identity into a way of helping others find meaning, relief, and direction during life transitions and challenges. I am a psychotherapist and wellness expert who enjoys being a support and open ear for those in need of a safe space and change within their lives. With a diverse background in providing therapy and counseling services, I like to start with meeting you where you are at and seeing the path that you desire. I enjoy helping you find ways and strategies that support movement towards your goals or healing. I have a bag of tricks and skills to offer if that is what is necessary. I'd rather connect as persons navigating this big thing called 'life' by offering perspective through a lens of individualized strengths, personality preferences (e.g. MBTI), emotional regulation/stress management, and the dimensions of wellness.
My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in
west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well.
I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons.
With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia.
I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.

Hello,
I am very happy to meet you here. My name is Cassandra Sams, but please call me Sandy. I have been working as a counselor for over 20 years. Most of my experience has been in private practice but I also spent some time in agencies working with children and adolescents. I also have been able to help children and adolescents understand their parents' perspectives. Likewise, I really enjoy working with individuals who are dealing with various life transitions such as leaving school to go to college or into the workforce, leaving college and building a career, getting married and having children, or struggling with the mid-life crisis and coping with career changes or life changes such as divorce or deaths of family members. I do not consider myself to be the expert of your life. You are the expert and I am the witness. I feel honored and privileged to be invited into your life experiences and to be a witness to your life's journey. I believe that your story is sacred and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. I use cognitive behavioral strategies blended with existential therapy to assist you in discovering what your story is. My hope is that you will learn to love your stories as much as I do.

Greetings, I am Dr. Mekeya. My background is as a licensed social worker. I became a mental health professional because I understand the importance of having support through tough times and a partner to cheer with you in times of victory. I have the pleasure of helping others recognize their strengths and abilities that can be used to overcome challenges and promote growth. Being a mental health professional allows me to positively touch someone’s life daily and be an ear for someone that just needs to vent.
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative — think of it as real conversations with a purpose. Together, we’ll unpack what’s been weighing you down, explore new ways of thinking, and build tools that actually work in everyday life. My goal is to help you feel lighter, more confident, and more connected to yourself and others — all while keeping the process genuine, supportive, and maybe even a little fun along the way.

In my roughly 30 years as a psychologist I have mostly worked with people who have problems with anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger, relationship problems, and aging issues. I have worked with ages ranging from elementary school to 70s and a little older. I have found that experience allows me to realize client needs more quickly than in my early years in practice, and hope to use this experience to your benefit.
Note that online scheduling is limited, and my practice schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 1pm to 6pm, and Wednesday from 12pm to 5pm. If you need assistance with scheduling, please contact me via the Grow Therapy messaging platform. I typically respond to messages during regular business hours. Please also note that I do not provide opinions about disability or fitness to return to work or other activities.
