I am a National Certified Counselor and received my bachelor’s in psychology from Silliman University and master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University, New England. I have years of experience working with individuals, couples and families from different cultures and backgrounds dealing with different kinds of life issues and mental issues. I have worked in different settings such as private practice, community, and school-based settings.
In your first session with me, you can expect a warm and supportive environment where you will be treated with respect and empathy. The initial meeting is primarily focused on getting to know you and understanding your unique concerns and goals. We will have a brief discussion about the counseling process, including confidentiality and what to expect in our work together. We will talk about your current challenges, background, significant events, and experiences that may be influencing your feelings or behavior. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques tailored to your individual needs. This may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness practices, solution focused or other methods suited to your situation.
I believe my greatest strengths lie in my empathy, commitment to client-centered care, and ability to build strong therapeutic relationships.
I specialize in depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and grief and loss. I strive to create a supportive and empathetic environment where individuals can explore their challenges and work towards meaningful change.
