About me

I truly believe in the power of being authentic and genuine—both for myself and for you. In our work together, I aim to create a warm, safe space where you feel comfortable being your true self. Trust and rapport are at the heart of any healing journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you in that process. As a proud firefighter’s wife and military mom, I deeply understand the unique challenges that come with these demanding roles, both for the individual and for the family. I know firsthand how the weight of these responsibilities can impact personal well-being and family dynamics. This personal experience gives me a unique perspective that I bring into our work, offering you not just professional support but empathetic understanding. Using an eclectic approach, I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques, including psychoeducation, trauma informed, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused strategies. This approach is tailored to meet your unique needs, offering you a personalized, supportive experience every step of the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, my primary focus is on building rapport and creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their concerns. I use this time to learn about the client's experiences, discuss their reasons for seeking therapy, and collaboratively identify goals for treatment. The session also provides an opportunity to answer questions, clarify the therapeutic process, and address any concerns or expectations the client may have. By establishing trust and mutual understanding early on, I aim to help clients feel more open, engaged, and receptive to the therapeutic journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths as a therapist include creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe in meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to their unique needs, drawing from a variety of therapeutic approaches to support growth and healing. While I provide compassion and support, I am also direct when appropriate and help clients challenge unhelpful patterns in a way that feels constructive and empowering. I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns and levels of acuity. In addition to my outpatient therapeutic work, I serve as a crisis therapist in a hospital setting, which has strengthened my ability to support clients facing complex, high-needs, and acute situations. This experience allows me to remain calm, grounded, and effective when helping clients navigate significant emotional distress and life challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy partnering with adolescents, adults, and couples to help navigate life’s complexities. Whether you're facing anxiety, trauma, psychosis, PTSD, depression, struggles with parenting, or challenges in relationships and communication, I'm here to help you find clarity and healing. I help clients develop practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and personal or work-related stressors. My approach is direct, collaborative, and solution-focused, making it a good fit for clients who appreciate honest feedback and are motivated to create meaningful change in their lives.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I enjoy utilizing an eclectic range of therapeutic approaches because I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT can be especially effective for individuals who feel stuck in negative patterns or cycles. In addition, I integrate Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, psychoeducation, and couples therapy techniques to support meaningful and lasting change. My goal is to meet each client where they are, creating a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters growth, self-awareness, and progress.
