Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a native Atlantan, born and raised in Southwest Atlanta. I attended Georgia State University, where I began developing a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. With over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field, I’ve had the privilege of working with both adolescents and adults, primarily addressing issues related to family conflict, school and work struggles, and behaviors that disrupt home life and relationships. Throughout my career, I’ve seen the powerful impact that support and guidance can have in helping individuals and families break through barriers and create healthier environments. Outside of my professional life, I’m happily married with two children. When I’m not helping others find balance and peace in their lives, I enjoy spending time outdoors, taking in nature, and staying active. I look forward to working together and helping you or your loved ones overcome any challenges you may be facing.
In our first session i will be asking you to tell me what issues you are having and what you would like to work on. i will ask about your personal and family life and discuss result of any screening scales that have already been completed or discussing the need to complete screening scales as we move forward. the first session is all about addressing expectations and building rapport.
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the integration of deep clinical experience with a grounded, compassionate presence. Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with both adolescents and adults, across a wide range of settings—including emergency rooms, crisis response teams, and community mental health. These diverse experiences have equipped me with the ability to respond effectively in high-stakes situations while also fostering long-term healing and growth. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices but guided by the understanding that each person’s story is unique. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether someone is navigating a moment of acute crisis or working through long-standing emotional patterns, I bring a calm, centered, and adaptable presence that helps clients move forward with clarity and confidence.
I am looking for clients who are motivated to change or improve their lives and who understand that they will be doing the work to make change happen i am only a support and catalyst in that change. I want to work with client who are ready to engage in the work that is needed to make changes in their lives because change is hard and very uncomfortable.
I have extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I have found it to be a highly effective approach for addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, and even issues like insomnia and trauma. My experience with CBT includes both individual and group therapy settings, where I guide clients through the process of identifying and challenging maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors. In my practice, I typically begin by assessing the client's thought processes and identifying cognitive distortions—such as catastrophizing, overgeneralizing, or black-and-white thinking—that may be contributing to their emotional distress. From there, I work with clients to develop new, more balanced ways of thinking and help them practice these new cognitive patterns in real-life situations.
