I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been counseling clients dealing with a variety of mental, emotional, and relational issues for a number of years. I have counseled adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups. I decided to pursue a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy because I realized the impact that our families, and society as well, have on our mental and emotional development. The impact is both positive and negative and may manifest as depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, a lack of a sense of self and other mental and emotional disorders.
In counseling, I help clients explore those influences and the impact on their life. My specialties then center around helping clients gain insight into those influences, become more empowered, develop a stronger sense of self, and take steps to become who they really are; thereby addressing mental and emotional health issues.
It's important to note that many times, experiences unfortunately include trauma and loss. It may be childhood or other trauma. Identifying, acknowledging and processing trauma and loss is therefore often a part of the process of becoming more empowered and developing that strong sense of self described above.
.
I believe in honoring each individual as the expert of their own life, meeting them without judgment or preconceptions. Counseling, for me, is not about labeling problems but about discovering solutions and effective coping strategies. I work with individuals of all ages, including children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families, who are facing a wide range of challenges, with a particular passion for geriatric mental health.
Embarking on therapy is a courageous and potentially life-changing decision, and I am dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. I am deeply committed to helping others realize their full potential. My areas of expertise include providing support for grief, depression, life stressors, divorce, blended families, and individuals and families involved with state agencies.
Is life scary sometimes? Is it hard for you to have the confidence to tackle the big things in life? Do you sometimes notice a younger part of yourself that needs comfort? I help those of you who suffer from unresolved traumas both big and small.
I pull from my experiences of mother, grandmother, wife, widow, sister, daughter. Together we can explore the different parts of self and how our roles and relationships affect us.
I can guide you to a deeper awareness of how life wounds can affect performance and satisfaction with life. I use a combination of EMDR, mindfulness, ego state and somatic awareness to help you achieve your goals. Through this process you may begin to feel a deeper peace that I call soul living; fully embracing who you are and the moment you are in. Together we can improve the quality of your relationships with others and with yourself.

My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in
west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well.
I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons.
With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia.
I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.

Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker out of Northwest Georgia. I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of Georgia in 2012. I have worked in multiple settings with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma and loss. I have experience treating self-harming and suicidal behaviors in teens. I received my full clinical licensure in 2021. I enjoy helping teens and adults work through whatever barriers prevent them from pursuing their goals. I also enjoy helping them build on the skills they need to tackle future challenges.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Georgia. I received my Masters from Northcentral University and have been practicing for 5 years. I help children, adolescents, and teenagers with the struggles that young people face as they navigate through their young lives. I also help adults, couples, and families develop positive skills that can aid them in developing and maintaining healthy and positive relationships.
Hiya! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Georgia. I received my Masters from Georgia State University and have been practicing since 1999. I recently retired from the Wellstar Hospital System where I provided therapy, evaluations and case management on the behavioral health unit and in the emergency departments. I offer LCSW supervision to master's level clinicians. I also execute Guardianship Evaluations for the probate court systems. I help adults ages 18 through to 'senior-hood' struggling with a variety of stressful situations which may cause them anxiety in all it's forms.
