One of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. I applaud you on taking this first step in investing in your growth and personal development. Sometimes, we are faced with major life changes or challenges that alter our perspective on life, which directly impact our mental, emotional, and social well-being. By promoting a safe, judgement free, and shame free environment, my aim is to allow you the freedom to explore your experiences with a sense of curiosity, compassion, openness, and acceptance. I offer online counseling to individuals, families and groups to help them develop the skills necessary to successfully overcome challenges in life. My background as a high school and college counselor also gives me a wealth of experience to draw from when working with families, adolescents, and young adults. As your therapist, I believe that the healing process begins by creating a safe environment and building and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship. My ultimate goal is to empower you to make positive life changes while helping you develop confidence in your ability to achieve a healthy balance in all aspects of your life.

Hi, I’m Alexis! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia with several years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, life transitions, and difficult family or relationship dynamics. You may be feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed by your thoughts, uncertain about a relationship, or frustrated by patterns that keep repeating. You may also be functioning well on the outside while privately struggling to manage your mood, past experiences, or the expectations placed on you. Therapy can provide a place to slow down, understand what is happening, and begin making meaningful changes. My experience includes community-based care, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, nonprofit organizations, residential treatment, and private practice. I use evidence-based approaches including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other trauma-informed and attachment-based interventions. Your treatment will be tailored to your needs rather than based on a one-size-fits-all approach. I earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Religion, a Master of Social Work, and a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Georgia. I am currently completing my Doctorate degree and also serve as a part-time Assistant Professor, helping prepare future social work professionals. My style is warm, authentic, engaging, and collaborative. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself in therapy while also receiving honest feedback, practical tools, and support in working toward the changes that matter to you.

My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well. I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons. With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia. I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.

My approach to counseling is faith-rooted, neuroscience-aware, and trauma-informed, recognizing the profound connection between emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual well-being. For clients who desire it, biblical principles are thoughtfully integrated with evidence-based therapeutic practices to support meaningful growth and healing. By understanding how the brain and nervous system respond to stress, adversity, and trauma, clients can develop practical skills that foster resilience, emotional regulation, and lasting change. Counseling is a collaborative process tailored to each client's unique circumstances, strengths, and goals. Together, we work to increase self-awareness, clarify personal values, and cultivate healthier patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating. Whether addressing the impact of past experiences, navigating anxiety or life transitions, strengthening family relationships, or pursuing personal growth, treatment is guided by compassion, respect, and clinical excellence.

Hi, I'm Marina! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) working with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I have a special interest in exploring how our childhood experiences shape the way we connect with others today and how mental health can influence the different versions of ourselves we show at work, with our families, and in our relationships. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, feel accepted, and explore who you are without judgment. I believe therapy doesn't have to be serious every second—we can acknowledge the weight of life's hardest moments while also making room for humor, self-compassion, and perspective. Together, we'll work on building healthy boundaries, improving communication, challenging unhelpful patterns, and developing greater self-acceptance so you can show up as the version of yourself that feels most authentic. Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me with a good book, at the gym, watching Grey's Anatomy, or spending time with my two sweet nieces, who keep life fun and full of perspective.

I am here because I want to help. I consider both my personal and professional life experience as invaluable in working with others. I believe people are "hard-wired" to live with authenticity and become the best version of themselves and I would enjoy helping you with that process. I have deep compassion for the human condition and it fuels my desire to help. Helping others let go of what interferes with life satisfaction, helping their authentic self thrive and live their best life is rewarding. I do not see people as broken, rather as being heroic in navigating life challenges with sometimes inadequate skills and patterns that arose out of their unique personal life story. I embrace the concept that we are on earth to have an opportunity to enjoy the incredible experiences life can offer and we are also capable of finding ways to reduce or eliminate suffering. By the grace of our creator I have been provided with life and experience to be able to offer my services. I look forward to supporting you with gentle guidance, increased confidence and heart in your journey forward. I would be grateful and honored to work with you.

I have 25 years of experience working with all age groups, couples, family, adolescents, elderly and all races where I utilize CBT as a base and add other modalities as needed. I believe each person is an individual that cannot be put into a 'fits all' box. I believe a commitment with patience over time can lead to significant growth and understanding of oneself. Mindfulness, Carl Jung's Shadow Work as well as Negative Core Beliefs can lead to changes that offer a completely new way of living and thriving. I also have experience with the LGBT+ community. A therapist in my experience adds a level of effectiveness having done therapy ourselves and I have put a lot of time and effort on the other side of the therapeutic relationship. It has allowed me a strong level of empathy and understanding of what clients go through when in therapy. Substance Abuse is an area I also have experience with.

I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices that empower clients to better understand their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I integrate several therapeutic modalities in my work, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based approaches. Through these methods, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful or “stuck” beliefs related to past experiences, strengthen personal motivation for growth, and develop greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the present moment. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore difficult emotions and experiences. Together, we work to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate healthier perspectives that support long-term well-being. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are navigating trauma, stress, life transitions, and mood or anxiety-related concerns. My favorite book of all time is Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. One of the many wonderful things he says in that book is "When we are no longer able to change a situation we are challenged to change ourselves." I see our work together as a team effort. Each client I see has his or her own story and unique perspective on that story, and I believe that within that story are the seeds to healing. My approach to helping my clients is in seeing each of my clients as a whole person who is struggling with something, whether it is anxiety, depression, relationships issues, substance abuse, communication, parenting, trauma, etc. Most often, it is how we perceive a situation or a struggle that defines how we deal with it or respond to it. I hope that I can help you with whatever your struggle may be, and to help you rewrite your story. I am not here to "fix" you, The work is yours to do, I am a facilitator and I provide evidenced based treatments, support and accountability., I help you gain clarity by providing a safe place to put your struggles and a place to heal and improve your overall health and wellbeing. Ultimately, my job is for you to eventually not need me.

I’m also kind of a nerd - I game; I have too many weather apps on my phone; I love science fiction and fantasy novels/movies. I love fitness, and all sorts of outdoor activities. I love animals and have several pets. Did I mention I love what I do? I’d love to meet you!
