What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
When a client comes to therapy with me for the first time, I will complete any initial paperwork that needs to be done and try to get to know them as much as possible. The focus of this appointment will be to figure out the needs of the client and set goals as well as complete any assessments that might need to be done. I know that therapy can be a scary process for a client so I try my best to make them feel comfortable and get to know what fears they might have about therapy.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I think some of my strengths are that I have empathy and tried to have understanding about each client that I work with. I approach the sessions with a non-judgmental attitude and ready to provide each client with confidentiality.
