I support overall wellness by addressing mental, emotional, spiritual, educational, physical, and psychological needs through an integrative and holistic approach. Utilizing an eclectic therapy framework, including EMDR, I work collaboratively with individuals and families to restore balance and foster meaningful growth. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing occurs when underlying barriers are identified and addressed effectively. My philosophy centers on empowering individuals to remove the obstacles that hinder self-worth, while guiding them toward developing a positive sense of purpose within their families and communities.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your safety, wellbeing, and comfort are my top priorities. During our first session, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences and begin processing your challenges in a relaxed, supportive, non-judgmental, and confidential environment. I will take time to understand the underlying dynamics of your concerns by asking thoughtful questions and actively listening to your story. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, stressors, and goals that are important to you. My role is to help you gain clarity and provide a structured “roadmap” for your healing and personal growth. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the next steps in your treatment, along with a collaborative plan tailored to your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy stands out because it is both highly personalized and results-driven. I believe real change happens when there is a strong, trusting connection between client and therapist—where you feel understood, supported, and empowered from the very beginning. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore challenges and begin making meaningful progress. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I use an eclectic blend of proven methods, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and DBT-informed strategies, to tailor treatment specifically to your needs. Whether you're dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, or life stressors, we work together to create a clear, practical path forward. What truly sets my work apart is the focus on transformation—not just symptom relief. I help clients identify and remove the barriers that have been holding them back, while building confidence, emotional stability, and healthier patterns of thinking and behavior. Many of my clients begin to notice real improvements early in the process, including better emotional control, increased self-awareness, and stronger relationships. My goal is to help you not only feel better, but function better—so you can move forward with clarity, purpose, and a stronger sense of self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals, couples, and families who are ready to explore meaningful change and improve their overall quality of life. My ideal clients may be navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, substance use, or life transitions, and are open to engaging in a collaborative and structured therapeutic process. I specialize in supporting clients who have experienced unresolved trauma, emotional dysregulation, or patterns of negative thinking that interfere with daily functioning. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we work to identify and restructure unhelpful thought patterns. Through Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients develop emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. For individuals dealing with past trauma, I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process and reduce the emotional impact of distressing experiences. I also utilize Motivational Interviewing to support clients who may feel stuck or ambivalent about change, helping them strengthen internal motivation and commitment to personal growth. In my work with couples and families, I integrate Family Counseling approaches along with the Gottman Method to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen relational bonds. I support partners and family systems in understanding patterns of interaction and developing healthier, more effective ways of connecting. My approach is best suited for clients who are seeking not only symptom relief but also long-term personal development. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment while also gently challenging clients to grow, take accountability, and build healthier patterns that lead to lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have over eight years of experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary treatment approach in my clinical practice. CBT is an evidence-based, structured, and goal-oriented modality that focuses on identifying and restructuring negative thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. In my work, I support clients who are experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and relationship difficulties. I use CBT to help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also equipping them with practical tools to challenge distorted thinking, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies. My approach to CBT is collaborative and tailored to each individual. I engage clients in identifying core beliefs, processing past and present experiences, and developing actionable strategies that promote lasting change. Through consistent practice and skill-building, clients are empowered to gain greater self-awareness, increase emotional stability, and improve their overall quality of life.

Eclectic

I utilize an Eclectic Therapy Approach, which allows me to draw from multiple evidence-based modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, rather than relying on a single theoretical framework. My clinical experience includes integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, and elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This approach is particularly effective for clients who struggle with processing difficulties and anxiety, as it provides flexibility to meet clients where they are emotionally, cognitively, and behaviorally. In sessions, I intentionally select and combine interventions based on the client’s presenting concerns, level of insight, and readiness for change. For example: I use CBT techniques to help clients identify and restructure maladaptive thought patterns contributing to anxiety. I incorporate EMDR strategies to assist clients in processing unresolved trauma that may be underlying their anxiety and emotional distress. I apply Motivational Interviewing to explore ambivalence and strengthen internal motivation for change. I introduce DBT-informed skills (e.g., grounding, distress tolerance, emotional regulation) to support clients who feel overwhelmed or dysregulated. For clients who have difficulty with processing, I focus on slowing down the therapeutic pace, using guided questioning, reflection, and psychoeducation to help them organize their thoughts and emotions in a manageable way. For those experiencing anxiety, I incorporate grounding techniques, cognitive reframing, and somatic awareness strategies to reduce physiological arousal and increase a sense of control. My overall goal is to create a safe, structured, and adaptable therapeutic environment where clients can effectively process their experiences, reduce anxiety symptoms, and develop practical coping skills that improve daily functioning.

Couples Counseling

I bring over eight years of experience working with couples from diverse backgrounds, supporting partners in navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including formal training in the Gottman Method, which provides structured, research-driven strategies to improve relationship stability and satisfaction. In my approach, I integrate techniques from the Gottman Method with an eclectic and holistic framework tailored to each couple’s unique dynamics. I focus on helping partners enhance communication, manage conflict effectively, and develop deeper understanding and empathy for one another. Sessions are structured yet flexible, allowing couples to explore underlying issues while also learning practical tools they can apply in real time. I actively engage couples in identifying negative interaction patterns, processing unresolved concerns, and rebuilding emotional safety. Through guided interventions, I support partners in strengthening friendship, increasing accountability, and restoring trust. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where both individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow both individually and as a unit. Ultimately, I aim to help couples move from distress and disconnection toward clarity, connection, and long-term relational stability.

Family Therapy

I have over eight years of experience working directly with families in a therapeutic setting, supported by additional formal training in Family Therapy. My work has focused on helping families navigate complex dynamics, improve communication, and strengthen relationships across a variety of clinical concerns, including trauma, behavioral challenges, substance use, and mood disorders. My approach to family therapy is collaborative, systemic, and strengths-based. I view the family as an interconnected system, where each member’s experiences and behaviors influence the whole. In sessions, I work to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where all voices are heard and respected. I actively explore family roles, patterns of interaction, and underlying emotional processes while helping members develop healthier ways of communicating and resolving conflict. Using an eclectic therapeutic approach, I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Structural Family Therapy, and elements of EMDR when appropriate. I focus on identifying and removing barriers that interfere with family functioning while promoting accountability, empathy, and mutual understanding. My goal is to empower families to build stronger connections, improve problem-solving skills, and create a more supportive and stable home environment.

EMDR

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have been utilizing this evidence-based treatment method in my clinical practice for the past five years. Throughout this time, I have worked extensively with individuals who have experienced trauma, including childhood trauma, complex trauma, and distressing life events. My approach to EMDR is grounded in creating a safe, supportive, and structured therapeutic environment. I begin by engaging clients in thorough preparation, ensuring they have the coping skills and emotional stability necessary to process traumatic memories effectively. During the reprocessing phases, I guide clients through bilateral stimulation techniques to help desensitize distressing memories and restructure negative beliefs into more adaptive, empowering perspectives. I integrate EMDR within an eclectic therapeutic framework, tailoring the process to meet each client’s unique needs. I often combine EMDR with cognitive and mindfulness-based strategies to support emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, and promote long-term healing. My goal in using EMDR is to help clients reduce the emotional intensity of past experiences, improve present functioning, and support the development of a healthier sense of self and purpose.

I not only value that my therapist is WILLING to use his own personal experiences to demonstrate his solutions to my issues, but I also respect the fact that he is ABLE to connect with my personal experiences. To me, that is the difference between a mere practitioner and someone who is invested in my mental health outcomes. This makes a third party stranger to my life much more trustworthy with my personal information!
