Diahann JohnBaptiste is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 10 years of experience. Diahann specializes in working with teens and adults through emotional issues, family conflict, grief and loss, trauma (sexual assault, abuse, or harassment), anxiety, depression, attention deficit (ADHD), bipolar disorder, mood disorders, spirituality, substance use, and women's issues. Diahann completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of the U.S. Virgin Islands in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands, and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. She also completed training for a Certified Case Manager in Child Protective Services with the Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS). Diahann is passionate about helping her clients heal from life experiences that have left them hurt and feeling hopeless.
My particular interest in counseling stems from my desire and ability to see the good potential in people. I appreciate and respect a person’s resilience and optimism to seek help in counseling. Resilience requires persistence, so counseling is a good opportunity for people to reflect on their past experiences and explore their feelings and values. Clients place a great deal of vulnerability and responsibility in seeking help from professional counselors.
