About me

I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in Georgia with over 10 years of experience working as a behavior counselor for adults, adolescents, and children. I have worked with clients with a wide range of obstacles such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, family concerns, and grief and loss. Trauma has affected all of us. I am here to guide you through these difficult times. My counseling style is warm and personable. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused counseling. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You will experience a safe environment, allowing you to explore your thoughts without judgment. Treatment and therapy will be at your own pace with warmth and support.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I help individuals find their way given the many hats we wear. We all have our struggles balancing everyday life. I am here to help you navigate those obstacles and make life work for you. You Can Narrate Your Next Chapter Sometimes we have unrealistic expectations and idealistic perspectives that get in the way of true happiness and authenticity. In addition, trauma can be a barrier to leading a fulfilling life. By identifying, processing, and overcoming these barriers, we can begin to create the next chapter of your life as you desire. Yes, you get to create your own narrative for your life. Be empowered and encouraged by your resilience and capabilities.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Clients who need to decompress and process their everyday stressors are the right fit for my counseling style. My therapeutic approach is a space for you to process entities in your life, such as family, spouse, work, children, past trauma, and all the other significant factors in our lives. Let's work on skills to manage the stressors, assist you with understanding your emotions and behaviors, and gain awareness of how to manage and accept your stressors.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

My approach to therapy is using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which are three valuable methods for people facing mental health challenges. DBT helps those who struggle with strong emotions and relationship issues. It teaches mindfulness and practical skills to build emotional strength and improve relationships. Cognitive Therapy helps people spot and change negative thoughts, leading to healthier thinking. ACT encourages people to accept their feelings and thoughts rather than fight them. This therapy promotes flexibility in thinking and focuses on taking action based on personal values. These therapies offer practical tools for improving emotional health and understanding oneself better.
