"In our first session, we will take time to build rapport and learn more about you, your story, and what you would like to work on. We will discuss your current concerns, goals, and areas where you would like support. Together, we will begin creating a plan that fits your needs while establishing a foundation of trust, understanding, and growth."
I bring empathy, authenticity, and a strengths-based approach to every first session. I focus on creating a safe space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. Together, we will explore your goals, recognize your strengths, and develop practical strategies that support your growth. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to meet you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be.
I enjoy working with individuals who have experienced difficult life circumstances and are seeking support, healing, and personal growth. My ideal client is someone who wants to better understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, process past experiences, and build resilience. I provide a compassionate, structured, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel safe exploring challenges and identifying their strengths.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we explore how certain thought patterns may impact emotions and actions, and we work on developing healthier ways of thinking and responding to challenges. CBT is a practical, goal-oriented approach that focuses on building awareness, learning coping skills, and creating positive changes in daily life. In sessions, we may identify unhelpful thoughts, challenge negative beliefs, practice new coping strategies, and develop tools that help you manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other concerns more effectively.
Couples Counseling
In couples counseling, I help partners strengthen their relationship by creating a safe and supportive space where both individuals can feel heard and understood. We will explore communication patterns, emotional needs, conflict styles, and areas of connection while working together to build healthier ways of relating to one another. My approach focuses on helping couples understand each other’s perspectives, improve communication, rebuild trust, and develop practical tools to navigate challenges together. I believe relationships grow when both partners feel valued, respected, and committed to creating positive change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) focuses on identifying your strengths, goals, and the solutions that can help you move forward. In therapy, we explore what is working, what you want to change, and practical steps you can take to create progress. This approach helps you build confidence, recognize your abilities, and focus on creating the future you want.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients process and heal from difficult or traumatic experiences in a safe, supportive, and structured environment. This approach focuses on understanding how trauma can impact thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we work on developing healthy coping skills, processing painful experiences at a pace that feels comfortable, challenging unhelpful beliefs related to trauma, and building a stronger sense of safety and resilience. My goal is to help clients regain a sense of control, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward healing and personal growth.
Christian Counseling
I offer Christian counseling for clients who desire to incorporate their faith and spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process. This approach recognizes the importance of caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while addressing emotional, relational, and life challenges. Together, we can explore how faith, personal values, and spiritual practices can support healing, growth, and resilience. Christian counseling is tailored to each individual’s beliefs and comfort level, creating a space where clients can integrate their faith into their journey while receiving compassionate, evidence-based support.
