(she/her)
New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical therapist with years of experience working in medical settings like, home-health, dialysis, hospice, behavioral health, and inpatient hospital settings. Over time, she has supported many individuals navigating depression, grief and anxiety, helping them make sense of what they’re feeling and find ways to move forward. I believe that each person is the expert on their own lives and I am just a vessel to help facilitate you getting to your desired outcome.
Our first session would be a getting to know each other. The most important element in our therapeutic alliance is the client therapist relationship.
I have the ability to meet people where they are and help them move forward from there.
I am best positioned to serve adults that are in therapy because they truly see the need and want help. I work well with adults ages 30-65 that struggle with anxiety and depression. In addition, I work with different kinds of grief (e.g. loss of a relationship, job, independence, role or pet or person). While I would be your coach and ally, there is a part that you would play in your own advancement and recovery. That would be doing the work necessary to get to the move forward.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
A lot of the time it is not the situation that we are in that makes feel badly and act in maladaptive ways but our self-talk about the situation.
Humanistic
There are times when its more helpful to stay in the moment and trust that we already have what it takes to navigate our current circumstances.
Interpersonal
There are times when everything else in life seems to be going well; however, our relationship are not working out. This can lead to a diminished quality of life. Learning how to better navigate those relationships can help tremendously.
Psychodynamic
Sometimes we don't understand why we think and act the way we do. Understanding our childhood experiences and unresolved conflicts can help improve our mental and emotional well-belling.
