(she/her)
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia. I earned my Master's degree from Webster University in South Carolina and have been practicing counseling for 6 years. In addition to being an LPC, I am a Certified Anger Management Therapist (CAMT) and a Certified Grief Therapist (CGT). My goal is to provide compassionate support to individuals who feel overwhelmed by life’s challenges and transitions. At times, life’s obstacles can make it difficult to recognize your strengths and resilience. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you can gain insight, build coping skills, and reconnect with the qualities that empower you to move forward with confidence.
During our first session, we will review the intake paperwork, HIPAA information, and any other forms completed prior to our appointment. We will spend time getting to know one another, discussing your concerns, and establishing rapport. We will also review expectations, goals, and guidelines for future sessions. My priority is to ensure you feel valued, respected, and comfortable in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. This is your journey, and I am here to support and guide you through the process at a pace that feels right for you.
I bring a unique combination of professional experience, specialized training, and personal understanding to my work. For more than 13 years, I have worked with the veteran population, advocating for and supporting individuals facing trauma, anxiety, grief, anger-related concerns, life transitions, and other challenges. As a veteran myself, I understand many of the difficulties that can arise during and after military service. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am a Certified Anger Management Treatment Professional (CAMT) and a Certified Grief Therapist (CGT). These certifications allow me to provide focused support to clients navigating loss, unresolved grief, emotional regulation challenges, and anger management concerns. I am committed to treating every client with dignity, respect, and compassion. My greatest strengths are creating a safe, nonjudgmental space, building genuine therapeutic relationships, and helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they work toward their goals.
As a License Professional Counselor, I love working with the veteran population, specifically women who are struggling with stress, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and trauma. I would like to help you rediscover the motivation, tools, and techniques to transform your live through the therapeutic process. I have provided services to the military and veteran community for over 13 years. Main treatment modalities utilized are CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Family Systems Therapy, TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and Solution Focused Brief (SFBT). You will receive needed support. Your mental health well-being is my primary concern.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is an evidence-based approach that empowers individuals to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier coping strategies. My goal is to help clients build practical skills that promote emotional regulation, resilience, and overall well-being. Through CBT, I work collaboratively with clients to establish meaningful goals and create lasting change. This approach is particularly effective in addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions. By increasing self-awareness and learning new ways to respond to challenges, clients can develop the tools needed to navigate life with greater confidence and balance.
Christian Counseling
As both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Pastor, I offer Christian Counseling for clients who desire to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process. Christian Counseling integrates evidence-based clinical practices with biblical principles to support emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. This approach is always guided by the client's preferences, beliefs, and goals. Depending on the client's needs, sessions may include prayer, Scripture, faith-based reflection, and biblical wisdom alongside established therapeutic techniques. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients can explore life's challenges through both a clinical and faith-centered lens. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, or life transitions, I strive to help clients strengthen their emotional well-being while drawing upon their faith as a source of healing, hope, and resilience.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented, strengths-based approach that focuses on identifying solutions rather than dwelling on problems. This model helps clients recognize their existing strengths, resources, and successes while developing practical steps toward achieving their desired outcomes. Rather than focusing extensively on past difficulties, SFBT emphasizes what is working well and how those successes can be expanded to create meaningful change. I utilize SFBT with individuals, couples, families, and pastoral counseling clients who are seeking focused, short-term support. This approach can be especially effective for concerns related to stress, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges. By helping clients identify achievable goals and build on their strengths, SFBT fosters hope, confidence, and a sense of empowerment throughout the therapeutic process.
