About me

Hi, I’m Chrissy! I’m an Atlanta, GA native and an LCSW with more than 16 years of experience working with people of all ages, from toddlers to older adults. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from UGA and have worked in hospitals, early intervention, home health, hospice, and rehabilitation settings. My first goal is simply to get to know you—your experiences, what’s important to you, and what has brought you to seek support. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should be a safe place where you feel heard, supported, and free from judgment, while also gaining practical tools, insight, and a sense of progress along the way. I genuinely enjoy getting to know my clients, and I feel fortunate to do this work. My goal is to help you reach your goals and create the positive changes in your life that led you to seek therapy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, you can expect a judgment-free environment where we will get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship. My first priority will be understanding you and the experiences, challenges, or life events that have led you to seek support. This will be a safe space where you can be completely honest. Human connection is one of my strengths, and my goal is for you to feel comfortable sharing thoughts and experiences that you may not have expected to discuss. After your first session, my hope is that you leave feeling confident that you have taken an important first step toward the life and journey you want for yourself.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach comes from both personal and professional experiences,. As a person, I have always seen the innate good in every person I've worked with and encountered. Even in childhood, I never believed in labeling someone due to mistakes, experiences or life choices. I truly believe those qualities are what make people unique and remarkable. I always work from a strengths based perspective and find beauty and opportunities for personal growth in every life experience. I love getting to know my clients and I treat every person with dignity, respect and treat you how I would want to be treated. I am truly excited to meet you and help you develop a more strengths-based perspective of yourself and your everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is seeking to improve their life experience and build a genuine connection while being open minded and ready to learn new ways of overcoming life's challenges. I enjoy working with individuals who feel stuck or are at a crossroads and have not yet discovered the best version of themselves that is ready to emerge through self-discovery and support.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve used CBT throughout my career and have found it to be very effective with clients of all ages. It helps people recognize unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with healthier ways of thinking, which can lead to positive changes in both thoughts and behaviors
