Hi, I’m Shannon, and I’m here to help you feel more like yourself again. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over seven years of experience working with young adults. I specialize in anxiety and OCD, using the gold standard approach for treatment, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). My approach is all about getting to the root of what’s keeping you stuck so you can experience lasting relief, not just short-term fixes. We work together to identify how anxiety deeply affects your relationships, daily life, and the thought patterns that shape your mood and behavior. As a certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist, I take a whole-person approach—looking at how your daily habits, stress levels, and physical health all impact your emotional well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and exploring what brought you to therapy. I’ll gather background information, ask about your current struggles, and begin identifying patterns or themes that may be impacting your well-being. Together, we’ll clarify your goals for treatment and start shaping a direction that feels purposeful and supportive. This session is also about building our connection—so I can better understand how to support you and tailor our work to fit your needs moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my warmth and easy-going, personable nature. Clients often share that they feel comfortable and at ease in sessions, which helps build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. This sense of connection allows for greater openness and transparency, helping us get to the core of what’s bringing you to therapy and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Anxiety can impact every aspect of life—your thoughts, relationships, energy, and overall well-being. I work with young adults who feel stuck in cycles of stress, worry, and self-doubt, helping them develop the skills to overcome these challenges. Whether you're struggling with anxious thoughts, relationship challenges, low energy, or managing daily stressors, I provide a safe and supportive space to help you build resilience, make lasting changes to step into the life you truly desire.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

Upon interest, we offer Christian Based Counseling, recognizing that spiritual well-being is deeply connected to mental and emotional health. Your faith is a powerful tool in the healing process, providing meaning, purpose, and guidance rooted in biblical principles.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

When anxiety takes hold, it often pushes us to avoid situations, thoughts, or feelings that feel overwhelming. While avoidance may bring short-term relief, it actually makes anxiety stronger over time. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a proven therapy that helps you face fears in a structured way, helping you regain control, reduce fear, and live with more freedom.

Motivational Interviewing

Making changes—whether it’s improving your mental health, managing stress, or adopting healthier habits—can feel overwhelming. You might want to change, but part of you feels stuck, unsure, or even resistant. Motivational Interviewing (MI) helps you explore these feelings in a supportive, non-judgmental way, meeting you where you are in your journey.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Therapy focuses on identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns that fuel anxiety and stress. When we’re overwhelmed, our minds often jump to worst-case scenarios, exaggerate threats, or keep us stuck in cycles of worry. This approach helps you recognize these patterns, challenge them, and replace them with more balanced, realistic thoughts.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT supports you in staying present, letting go of self-judgment, and taking meaningful steps toward the life you truly want. It's designed to help you move through challenges with greater flexibility, clarity, and purpose.
