I create a space where you can feel heard, gain clarity, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping women find balance, healing, and sustainable wellness. Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, motherhood, relationship concerns, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life, I strive to meet you where you are and support you at a pace that feels right for you.
Together, we'll build on your strengths, explore the experiences that have shaped you, and create a path forward that aligns with your values, goals, and vision for your life.
In my 18 years of work with clients, I have worked with severely mentally ill populations, the addicted (both inpatient and outpatient settings), grief stricken, trauma affected and those just wanting an improved emotional life.
We all have life challenges at some point in our lives, whether at a point of transition or loss, but sometimes just desiring greater self-reflection. I love helping to facilitate adaptations or change.

Tara Sanders is a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and has been in the mental health field for 20 + yrs. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Clark Atlanta University and earned her Master’s of Science degree from Abilene Christian University. She has a wide range of career experience that allows her to adapt to the varied needs of her clients. Her diverse experience was derived from working in an all-male maximum-security prison, her position as a school counselor to provide counseling services to children in need of temporary, situational, and/or ongoing emotional challenges, her years acting as a mobile crisis assessor, and her role as supervisor for a state-wide crisis hotline. Additionally, she worked as a Military Family Life Counselor for 10 years overseas in Europe (German and Italy) and stateside.
Tara believes that individuals who are entering counseling should feel comfortable and safe which is why she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an approach that highlights channeling negative thoughts into positive ones. She believes that stressors in one’s life can feel unmanageable, but she helps her clients to maximize their resiliency and come to view the challenge as a bump in the road --a bump that can be moved past into a successful healthier path. Her goal is for all her patients to become open to gaining new perspectives and be willing to explore family dynamics and upbringings that have developed them into the persons they are today. Tara works with her clients to assist them with changing any self-defeating thoughts and behaviors.
She truly believes that caring for yourself and your relationships are the most important task that you will ever have.

Therapy with me is not about quick fixes—it’s about meaningful, lasting change and having someone alongside you who understands how difficult things can feel.
Reaching out for therapy is a big step, and I aim to make the process as supportive and straightforward as possible from the beginning. An initial conversation can help determine whether working together feels like the right fit, provide a sense of what the process might look like, and address any questions you may have. I would welcome the opportunity to connect.
I help people who are navigating depression, anxiety, and big life transitions find their footing again. In our work together, we'll look closely at the thoughts and patterns that tend to keep you stuck and build practical tools you can use between sessions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been counseling clients dealing with a variety of mental, emotional, and relational issues for a number of years. I have counseled adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups. I decided to pursue a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy because I realized the impact that our families, and society as well, have on our mental and emotional development. The impact is both positive and negative and may manifest as depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, a lack of a sense of self and other mental and emotional disorders.
In counseling, I help clients explore those influences and the impact on their life. My specialties then center around helping clients gain insight into those influences, become more empowered, develop a stronger sense of self, and take steps to become who they really are; thereby addressing mental and emotional health issues.
It's important to note that many times, experiences unfortunately include trauma and loss. It may be childhood or other trauma. Identifying, acknowledging and processing trauma and loss is therefore often a part of the process of becoming more empowered and developing that strong sense of self described above.
.

Mental illness is as real as any physical illness. We talk normally about cancer and diabetes, although the same should apply to mental illness. Emotional and mental health are just as important as the physical health of a human being. The emotional trauma that a brain endures in various of the human life cycle can be damaging and in the long run, just as detrimental as a psychical illness.
People donate their organs, but they cannot donate their brains. Some people live with human-made hearts, but there is no such thing as human-made brains. I believe that our brain is the most important organ in our human body, so why don’t we start taking good care of it?
Therapy is not only for people with mental illness. Therapy is for everyone. We all have faced or currently face some hardships in life. Talking to a therapist can help you deeply in improving your mental health, decrease your stress and live with more joy and intention! Make your appointment today!

As a psychotherapist I practice a holistic and integrative approach and work mainly from a psychodynamic, trauma informed and neuroscientific and systemic perspective, based on the evidence of how trauma impacts the body and brain, and the awareness that in order to create lasting change and heal trauma wounds we must create insight and integrate past and present while establishing a secure connection with ourselves and in relationship with our significant others.
It is now my honor to be your therapist. As your therapist it is my goal to guide you through your journey of internal growth and lasting healing.

Hi, I am Janie Thompson, I believe that we must change how we think to change how we feel to bring about healing of the mind. I work to identify strengths in every person and build on their experiences with new skills and techniques to overcome obstacles. I provide support and education for individual clients and families with empathy and kindness in a relaxed atmosphere. I also challenge clients to grow while building on their strengths for change. Hi, I’m Akemi. Welcome!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves helping people over 30 navigate the messy middle of life- those seasons of transition, anxiety, and self-doubt that can leave you feeling stuck or unsure of your next steps. My passion is helping you sort through those feelings, rebuild confidence, and move forward with clarity and hope.
For clients who want to bring faith into the process, I also provide Christian counseling, blending biblical truth with practical, evidence-based therapy. Whether your faith is the foundation of your life or just one piece of your journey, we’ll incorporate it in a way that feels authentic to you.
I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a brain nerd. I enjoy teaching clients what’s happening in their mind and body, why it can feel so hard to break old habits, how subconscious thoughts drive behavior, and practical ways to retrain the nervous system. (Geeky? Yes. Helpful? Absolutely.)
My style is warm, encouraging, and goal-focused. I’ll meet you right where you are with compassion, honesty, and this is the "judgement free zone", like Planet Fitness!
Outside of the therapy room, I’ve authored two books, 15 Minute Journal Prompts for the Postpartum Mom and Mindful Mandalas for Moms and I’m currently working on my third book.
While I don’t specialize in treating bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, or substance use disorders, I’m always happy to refer clients to trusted colleagues who do.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: therapy should feel like a safe, uplifting space where you can be yourself, work through what’s weighing on you, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on that journey.

Hello, and welcome to my site! I am Elena, a trilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from Atlanta, Georgia, and have been practicing since 2013. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University. For the past decade I worked with incarcerated teens (and on probation, or in community) helping them approach problematic behaviors and improve these by avoiding future incarcerations. I serve pre-teens/adolescents 12-17 years old, young adults ages 18-25, and adults up to 60 by assisting them solve problems they cannot readily solve themselves. During our sessions we address issues such as depression, anxiety, family conflict, trauma, relationships, and anger management, among many other issues that might led to delinquency. My specialty is treating individuals with difficulties effectively communicating their needs within their relationships with parents, siblings, relatives, friends, etc., with an emphasis on assertiveness training for building and nurturing long-lasting interpersonal relationships.
There is no one size fits all approach to therapy, so I like to tailor my approach to fit my client's unique needs. Here are a few of the clinical theories I use to guide my practice: Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Treatment, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
