I am a LPC and a Certified Anger Management Specialist II. I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, a 2nd Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling and Sex therapy, and am an EMDR trained therapist. I have extensive training in Anger management, mood disorders (anxiety/depression), family systems, ABA, , infertility, and many more. I’m always working to keep myself well-educated and eclectic. I love being a helper. I love to challenge perspectives, interrupting negative patterns, and aiding in the transformation of minds. My passion is to help aid my clients in identifying who they are, where they are, and where they are wanting to get too. I work to help resolve conflict individually, in families, and/or in relationships. Each client’s story and the journey are specific to them so my goal is to shape treatment to the specific needs of each person. We will work through the difficult moments, learn skills to aid in independence, and become comfortable enough to reach out for support when something is not working. Breaking patterns and creating new ones based off the person/family/couple you strive to be is the goal of each session.

Meaningful change can take place once we are able to acknowledge that change is needed. In my profession as a therapist, my goal is to help others achieve change, growth, and improved mental health in their lives. It was during my own therapeutic experience many years ago where I learned the value of the journey to change and mental wellness. I would later decide to become an agent of change for others when I obtained my master’s in social work. My passion is working with women to help them effectively manage their mental health. As a woman I understand the challenges with having several roles and the expectation of being perfect in each role. I assist my clients by empowering them to take their own journey of self-discovery that leads to learning, growing, and thriving. My approach to the therapeutic process is person centered and focused as I believe clients are the experts of their own lives. My goal is to offer the support needed to facilitate the change and growth my clients seek.

The way we move through the world has a lot to do with who we are and who were evolving to be. Our experiences, often contribute to our decision making, more than we realize. When we live with unhealed trauma, our hurt often displays as anger, depression, and low confidence. I strongly believe that representation matters and equitable mental health is necessary. I advocate for accessible and equitable mental health for people of color and incorporate this into my practice. I am a licensed mental health therapist and licensed school counselor. I received a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Counseling and Counselor Education. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health, school counseling, school-based therapy, and private practice. I have over seven years of experience as a therapist and twelve years of experience in mental health. In addition to working with adults, I also work with adolescents. Adolescent therapy is a specialty in itself, as it is much different than working with adults. With over seven years of experience working with children and adolescents, I incorporate my experience working in education and school-based therapy, for my clients. You may have wondered why therapy often seems like it’s only meant for a specific demographic. I am here to ensure you that if you have been lost in the struggle, that beginning therapy may be exactly what you’ve been searching for. If you’ve been considering therapy and don’t know where to start, let’s work together to create what you envision for your life.

Hi- I’ve been a practicing therapist for 40 years, and in that time, I’ve seen and heard most everything. I was director of a local counseling center for 20 of those years. In 2016, I left that position and since then, I’ve been working primarily with clients who have a history of trauma. That’s pretty much everyone, right? We think of trauma as big events — combat, assaults, death. But trauma can be what others might consider small events. A heartbreak that happened in adolescence. Loss of a beloved pet as a child. Bullying. Family breakup. Hurtful words that still echo in our heart. I’m a certified addiction counselor and also trained in EMDR and Internal Family Systems therapy. These skills are frequently used in tandem to address the fallout from both old and recent traumas as well as addiction issues. I’m located in north Stockbridge, but do most everything on line now. If you would like to chat and see if we might be a fit, please call.

Hi, I'm Terry. Are you looking for some relief? Are there things happening in your life that you never imagined? They say over 80% of therapists and mental health workers have experienced their own mental health issues. With that being said, I have a history of anxiety and depression that I worked through gaining experience in coping skills and interventions. I have since gone back to school for my master's and doctoral degrees (working on licensure for doctorate). I have worked with individuals in the prison system, the state family and child ren departments, community care, crisis centers, and private practice. More recently, I am working with adult individuals with depression and anxiety due to the increase in these diagnoses since COVID-19. I am also doing testing for memory problems which has allowed me to meet wonderful older adults who are working on the acceptance of growing older. Some have medical issues, some have neurological issues, and most are suffering significantly due to these problems. When you have someone to talk to about life's unforeseen and unfortunate occurrences, the problems seem surmountable. I know because I see my own therapist :) I assign homework-not necessarily written! I encourage my clients to experiment with different interventions and coping skills to discover what works for them. It is exciting when we find something that works well, and we add it to our "toolbox." Come talk! Let's see what we can change....

Welcome! I'm Alisha Do you find yourself attempting to dismiss negative thoughts or memories? Possibly avoiding situations, scenarios, and places that remind you of something not so great? Do these memories invoke some kind of negative belief about yourself that you know is not true? Do you desire to decrease the intensity of these memories, thoughts or experiences so they are no longer as intrusive and demanding of your attention? I empower those who are ready to address some of the things from the past or the present that may be presenting a mental and emotional weight on functioning, relationships, and overall well-being.

Hi. I am a middle-aged married mother of one grown and one smaller child. Our next anniversary will be 10 years for us. We were both married before finding each other, so there is a history of blending families with children. I am a Christian and Jesus is the foundation of my life. "Through Christ, we can do all things." Philippians 4:13. I have my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience in private practice settings and working in a community service board (CSB). I have led anger management groups. I have worked with ages from childhood to the elderly. I have worked with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, ADHD, family conflicts, relationship difficulties, traumas, abuse, bipolar disorder (manic episodes), suicidal ideations, personal growth (career, etc.), and spiritual development. Life can be quite challenging. Many times we are facing situations that we are not prepared for or have prior hurts that affect our ability to overcome. When we get into these places it is easy to feel stuck or even blind to what is really going on. It is easy to shut down and isolate out of fear of what others may think. I enjoy providing a safe, warm, and caring environment to help you pull down any walls or barriers so you can face the situation head-on. Many past clients have shared how I have helped them see things in a different light so they were able to rise above the challenges and grow during the process. "All things work together good for those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 I am looking forward to meeting with you to help you grow stronger in who you are designed to be. You were created for a purpose and I want to help you discover what that is while helping you equip yourself better for it.
