LCSW, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia with over eight years of post-professional experience. I specialize in supporting clients dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, grief and LGBT-related issues, as well as compassion fatigue. My approach is centered on creating an open and safe space where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can take courage and I’m truly proud of you for choosing to begin this journey. Together, we can work toward healing, growth, and finding balance in your life.
In your first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and understand your unique concerns and goals. I’ll ask questions about your experiences, challenges, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. Together, we’ll begin identifying practical strategies and coping tools, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions about the therapy process. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood from the very first session.
My approach is supportive, practical, and focused on your strengths. I use techniques like mindfulness, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing to help you feel heard, build coping skills, and make positive changes. Together, we work toward your goals in a way that feels meaningful and achievable.
I am best positioned to support clients who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and LGBTQ+-related concerns, as well as those experiencing compassion fatigue. I also specialize in working with healthcare workers who may be struggling with burnout or the emotional demands of caregiving. I provide a safe, supportive space for clients to process challenges, build coping skills, and move toward greater balance, resilience, and self-acceptance.
I have experience using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify strengths, set achievable goals, and build practical solutions. This approach has been especially effective in telehealth sessions, where its brief, goal-oriented style empowers clients to make meaningful progress.
I have experience integrating Mindfulness-Based Therapies, including MBCT and MBSR, into my work with clients to reduce stress, manage anxiety, and improve emotional regulation. I often guide clients through mindfulness practices such as breathing exercises, grounding, and body awareness, helping them develop tools to stay present and cope more effectively with daily challenges.
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. Through structured interventions and collaborative goal-setting, I support clients in making practical changes that improve daily functioning and overall well-being.
I have experience using Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen intrinsic motivation, and build confidence in making positive changes. This approach has been especially effective with clients working through substance use, lifestyle adjustments, and other behavior change goals.
I have experience providing grief therapy to support clients coping with loss, helping them process complex emotions, honor their grief, and find healthy ways to adjust to life changes. I create a compassionate, safe space that allows clients to move through their grief at their own pace while building resilience.
