New to Grow
I am a Hispanic woman, Army Veteran, and therapist dedicated to helping people find clarity, healing, and peace. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. My approach is compassionate and flexible, meeting you where you are and creating a safe, supportive space to explore your experiences and move toward meaningful change.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll also ask questions to learn more about your experiences, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My priority is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel at ease and begin building trust. Together, we’ll begin to identify the areas you want to focus on and start outlining a path toward healing and growth.
What sets me apart is my ability to bring cultural awareness, compassion, and real-life perspective to therapy. My approach is person-centered and eclectic, meaning I adapt to your unique needs while drawing on psychodynamic and evidence-based practices. Clients often tell me they appreciate my balance of warmth, authenticity, and insight. I provide a space where you feel truly seen and supported while also being gently challenged to grow.
My clients often come to therapy feeling weighed down by past experiences, stuck in cycles of self-doubt, or overwhelmed by anxiety or depression. They are seeking healing, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of peace within themselves. I am best positioned to work with people who want to better understand their emotions, break free from unhelpful patterns, and move toward meaningful change. Whether you’re navigating trauma, rebuilding self-esteem, or working on connection in your relationships, I can support you in finding new ways forward.
I have extensive experience using CBT in my clinical work. I find it effective because it provides clients with practical tools to identify, challenge, and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors. In practice, I often integrate CBT by helping clients track negative automatic thoughts, recognize cognitive distortions, and explore how their thinking impacts emotions and behaviors. Together, we work on developing healthier coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and behavior changes that align with their goals. I also use CBT in a flexible way, tailoring interventions to each client’s needs. For example, with clients experiencing anxiety, I may incorporate thought records, exposure strategies, and relaxation techniques. With clients navigating depression, we may focus more on behavioral activation and restructuring self-critical thoughts. I emphasize collaboration and skill-building so that clients leave therapy not only with insight, but also with tools they can continue using outside of sessions.
