Hey, there! Are you happy? Do you have questions that you just can’t seem to answer? Is there a feeling of disconnection or distraction? Do you feel like a spectator in your own life? Are you living your best life? These questions and many more face us all. As a counselor, my passion is helping you and your family answer that ultimate question with a resounding YES! In life we all struggle with our emotional health from time to time and through solution focused and cognitive behavioral counseling I work with you, my client, to resolve these concerns and promote growth. I’m a proud Latina, bicultural, and bilingual (Spanish) counselor who is warm and genuine but also someone who will challenge you to engage in your self-care and self-exploration. Clients often report they feel very comfortable and open with me. My goal is to create a safe space and a working alliance from our very first meeting. I focus on understanding what has affected your life and the resulting emotions. Our focus together is to clear negative thinking and beliefs to shift the way you experience life in a way that works for you. Let's prioritize your mental health. Please reach out and I will promptly get back to you. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Hasta pronto :)

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be dedicated to understanding your presenting concerns, perceived barriers to treatment, strengths, and goals for therapy. I will explain in detail your rights and responsibilities as a client, what to expect from me as your counselor, and what therapy will consist of moving forward. Using a collaborative approach, you will leave our sessions with an understanding of and clarity on presenting concerns and potential solutions for positive change.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

As an eclectic counselor, I draw from a variety of theories such as cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, existential theory, expressive-art based interventions, solution-focused therapy, and at the core of my therapeutic modality is a client-centered approach.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my biggest strengths include - unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness. From our very first session, my goal is to create a secure and welcoming environment where you are comfortable exploring presenting concerns.
