In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First session, I gather more information about your reasons for seeking therapy, what you would like to get out of our time spent together in therapy. Gather background information about current coping skills, past experiences with therapist and what has been effective and not helpful. A great opportunity for you to ask me any questions pertaining to therapy process and my approach to working with clients.

Im happy I spoke with Jennifer today. I really needed a listening ear. She listened to me and made me feel heard. I am currently dealing with anxiety and the short time we spoke today my mind was at ease.

During session, I help client's to identify negative self-talk and maladaptive thought patterns that contribute to anxiety and depressive symptoms. We will work to reframe negative self-talk and cognitive distortions to become increasingly rational to support a healthier mindset.
