I provide compassionate, high-quality care grounded in respect, clinical knowledge, and a deep understanding of trauma. Many individuals face emotional challenges like anxiety, depression, or anger that interfere with daily functioning — often rooted in unresolved trauma or chronic stress. My goal is to support you or your loved ones in improving your quality of life and emotional well-being.
I specialize in trauma-focused therapy and use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy when appropriate. EMDR can be a powerful tool for healing PTSD and does not require ongoing therapy outside of EMDR sessions unless desired.
I strive to make therapy approachable and comfortable, offering a calm, welcoming space where clients feel seen and supported. Whether you’re navigating life stressors, recovering from trauma, or just need someone to talk to — I’m here to walk alongside you in your healing journey.
I'm a queer Chicana licensed therapist in FL and I have been in the mental health field since 2016. This is truly my passion! I was inspired to become a therapist because I wanted to be the kind of safe, supportive presence for others that I needed during my own childhood. What I love most about this work is seeing the growth my clients make, but also being there through the tough times when they stumble and watching them find the strength to get back up. I have a deep commitment to building trust, honoring each person’s unique journey, and empowering them to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I’m a therapist with three years of experience supporting clients through challenges like anxiety, depression, substance use, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care, which allows me to offer a balance of structure, compassion, and empowerment. I believe in meeting each client where they are and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, respected, and understood. I work side by side with clients to help them notice unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping skills, and reconnect with their own strengths and resilience.
For the past 14 years, I have helped people of all ages, from many different communities, work through hard parts of life. I often work with adults who have lived through trauma and who grew up in tough family situations. I also work with DID and other dissociation experiences. I help clients make sense of trauma reactions, including feeling spaced out, shame, and guilt. My goal is to help people build healthier relationships with family and loved ones, and to feel safe in those relationships. As a therapist, I aim to be open-minded and to create a space where you feel safe and at ease talking about your life story.

Hello, it will soon be great to meet you as you visit my Grow Therapy Provider Profile. I'm Jacqueline Gibb, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I work with all ages in the Tampa FL area. You can meet with me for an in-office visit or teletherapy. I enjoy working with clients who feel they struggle with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, focus and concentration issues, ADHD, and obsessive-compulsive disorder to name a few. It can be frustrating when an individual is struggling emotionally with more negative than positive feelings and it can keep an individual feeling stuck in their emotional pain. I have diligently studied the understanding of the amygdala in the brain and how the amygdala and hippocampus interprets emotional, physical, and sexual abuse that can keep a person feeling that they can't break free from the negative memories of their past. Also, these painful memories will continue to remind individuals of the traumatic event(s) they went through. Remember, you're not alone and you are valuable. The trainings that I've received can move you forward toward your life goals and the good news is that you and I working together to reduce the negative thoughts and feelings you have had to suffer through. Now, you can obtain the sense of belonging and joy you deserve in this life without negative thoughts and feelings popping up in your head when you least expect them. I also believe psychoeducation is an important part of the healing process. This helps you to understand certain types of thinking patterns and behavior reactions the human brain does and how you can reduce and stop those type of negative feelings as you move forward with healing.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating individuals with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I work with all faith denominations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
It takes courage to reach for a more fulfilling and happier life! By making an appointment with me, you're taking the first brave step towards change. If you're ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you to move boldly into your future!

Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) currently based in Florida. I graduated with my masters in Social Work from the University of South Florida. I have experience working with a wide range of individuals, including, Spanish speaking clients, Muslim clients, young adults, teens, and the LGBTQ community. I believe working with a wide range of individuals is imperative to the type of work I want to do.
Since becoming a counselor, I have worked in a variety of community counseling settings. I have worked with clients from ages 3 through 80 and with individuals, couples, and families. With that breadth of experience, very little shocks or surprises me and I have gotten a pretty good sense of where the types of counseling that play to my strengths as a counselor overlap with the types of counseling that are helpful for my clients. This sense (along with learning about lots and lots of research into what helps people find and maintain mental health) has led to the following guiding principles that shape all the counseling I do:
1) The client is always in charge. I know a lot of things but you will always be the one who decides what you want to get out of counseling, how we work towards that goal, whether or not what we’re doing seems to be working, and when we’re done.
2) Change and health happen through relationships. No matter what you come in for, there are always relational implications of change and relational factors that contribute to whatever it is that you came to counseling to change.
3) Counseling should be efficient. Counseling has significant costs in time and money. I think the benefits far outweigh the costs but if I can give you the benefits while helping you save on the costs then I want to do that.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University. My concentration was clinical practice in health and mental health settings. For the past 14 years I have been working in a hospital setting. During this time I have worked with individuals and families facing serious illness, life altering diagnosis, grief, substance abuse, homelessness as well as various other life transitions, depression, anxiety and panic attacks.
Hi — Hola. I’m Andrea, I’m really glad you’re here!
I’ve spent over eight years supporting both youth and adults. And because trauma has impacted my life as well, I deeply understand how it can shape our nervous system—fueling overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and that persistent feeling of “never good enough.” I share this simply to let you know you’re not alone—I truly understand, and I’ve been in a similar place.
My approach is warm, trauma informed and bilingual (Spanish/English). We’ll work with your story and your nervous system using attachment-focused work, inner-child exploration, mindfulness, mind-body connection work, narrative therapy, and trauma informed care. I take a holistic view—mind, body, and heart—and, if it resonates, we can integrate spirituality and energy-based practices to deepen healing and self-trust.
Together, we’ll create a steady, supportive space where you can set down what feels heavy, calm your nervous system, and build practical tools you can actually use—boundaries you can maintain, a gentler inner voice, and healthier relationship patterns. We’ll move at your pace, while still doing meaningful work that creates real change—so you can feel more clear, more grounded, and more like yourself.
"You are your best thing"-Toni Morrison. Growing through this journey we call life will unfortunately bring things you can't control & it's not always easy to cope & it's not always easy to talk to someone. Going to therapy doesn't "fix" you. It enhances you, it helps you to better understand why you struggle with certain patterns & behaviors & why you feel stuck at times. So, pat yourself on the back for choosing yourself, right now in this moment & for making the right decision to strive beyond where you are. Know you don't have to walk this journey alone.
I'm a diverse & creative therapist who is passionate about helping people rise above unfortunate obstacles to help them reach a potential they didn't know they had within them. Yes, you have the potential to be a better version of yourself. It has always been there. It's the inner strength you haven't tapped into yet.
Some of my specialties are helping individuals who struggle with: past & current trauma, anxiety, low-self esteem, relationship issues, PTSD, sexual abuse/assault, over-thinking, boundary setting, codependency, depression, low-confidence, self-worth & perfectionism.
Ask yourself this one question in this very moment, what's holding you back? Let's walk this journey together. You got this!

Hi! I am a Clinical Psychologist. I received my bachelor's degree from Spelman College, and I received my master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Mississippi. I have been practicing for 9 years.
Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time.
I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns they may have. One focus area is helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Stress, anger, depression, and anxiety can really impact your overall functioning and quality of life. Are you facing issues that you need help to work through? Do you have a life goal that you would like to achieve? Is it difficult to adjust to lifestyle changes? I recognize that our problems seldom exist in a bubble and that more often than not they are a direct reflection of our upbringing, past trauma, and/or our environment. Clients often cherish my ability to balance warmth and unconditional positive regard with challenging maladaptive beliefs.
Investing in counseling can yield long-term rewards to influence healing, intimacy, and wholeness. Acquiring necessary tools for healthy growth can be invaluable to achieving an authenticity of self. We will endeavor to enhance your life through increased self-awareness, personal growth, and self-acceptance utilizing the modality most beneficial to you.
Deciding to go to therapy may be a difficult decision. However, therapy can help you process complex emotions and strengthen your relationship with yourself and others. Therapy can also help you learn new ways of coping, especially during a pandemic. I welcome the opportunity to meet you and I'm honored by your consideration to allow me to journey with you.
One of my favorite life mantras is a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent". Thus, I enjoy helping others embrace their power. One of the most impactful ways to do that is a change in thought process. It has such a significant influence on the way we react and the type of emotions we feel.
At times, facing life's challenges can be difficult. Fortunately, you do not have to do it alone. I'll walk on the journey with you, offering a safe environment that encourages exploration and growth. If you'd like to know if I'd be a good fit on your personal journey, please feel invited to reach out!

I also offer spiritual counseling if you are seeking to explore or solidify your spiritual beliefs. I am also a Certified Grief Therapist. I work with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, burned out, or unsure of their next step in life. Many of my clients are navigating stress, ADHD, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or major transitions — whether that’s entering adulthood, changing careers, coping with loss, or trying to rediscover purpose.
My approach is genuine, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Therapy with me feels like a real conversation — professional, ethical, and structured, but also warm, human, and sometimes even lighthearted when it helps people feel more at ease. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe, understood, and supported, not judged or rushed.
I blend evidence-based tools like CBT with practical problem-solving strategies that fit your real life, not just a textbook. Together, we focus on building insight, confidence, and skills you can actually use outside of session — so therapy becomes something you rely on less over time, not more.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or ready to make a change but unsure where to start, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’d be honored to support you as you take the next step forward.

I fell in love with psychological studies in high school. Becoming a therapist has fulfilled my curiosity about human existence and my quest for happiness. I used therapy to overcome my own struggle with fears, shame, and self-doubt, which has affirmed my faith in the helping profession. I have learned through training and personal experiences that all human beings have the same basic quests in life and that we all deserve a chance to develop our unique potential, contribute uniquely to the tapestry of life, and be happy. I have also learned that human growth can only lead to spiritual development and discovery. My growth in understanding the common threads of humanity helps me treat my clients with respect and compassion. I have had extensive training in CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, trauma-focused, and insight-oriented therapies. My inclination is to use an integrated approach that meets clients where they are and helps propel them forward to achieve their objectives.
My name is Flemens Casimir, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with four years of experience providing counseling services to individuals from diverse backgrounds and demographics. In addition to my work in general mental health, I also have extensive experience in substance abuse treatment, supporting clients who struggle with addiction and co-occurring disorders. I am currently in training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is enhancing my ability to support clients in addressing trauma that often contributes to ongoing mental health and substance use challenges.
My therapeutic philosophy emphasizes meeting clients where they are in their current stage of life. I approach counseling with authenticity, empathy, and a commitment to being nonjudgmental, because I believe that when someone seeks mental health support, the last thing they should encounter is judgment. My goal is to create a safe and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered and respected as they work toward healing and growth.
