LMHC, 3 years of experience
My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I'm all about meeting someone where they are and sharing the tools I've gained while specializing in anxiety, OCD and trauma-based care. I will help you find peace in your mind and body, learn to regulate your nervous system, and discover the person you are beyond what you have been through. If you're ready, I would love to hear about your unique story, your values, and what matters most to you. I have been where you are, and I am passionate about giving back the peace and healing I have learned through therapy.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your history, current concerns, and goals so I can better understand your unique needs. This is also a chance for you to share what’s most important to you and what you hope to get out of therapy. We’ll go over the intake process together, talk about how sessions typically work, and address any questions you might have.
My clients often describe me as warm, authentic, and a great listener. I do my best to create a space where you feel safe to share openly, knowing that I genuinely care and will hold space for whatever emotions you bring into the session. I approach therapy with an open mind and presence, always aiming to meet you where you are. Having experienced the benefits of therapy myself, I understand how important it is to feel supported and understood, and I draw on that perspective to connect with clients in a real and relatable way.
I work best with clients who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, OCD patterns, or trauma responses. These are individuals who often feel overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts and persistent worry. Maybe your body reacts before your mind can catch up, with panic, shutdowns, people-pleasing, or avoidance. If you’ve been trying to “push through” on your own and it’s no longer working, I’m here to help you regain control of your life. Together, we will help you better understand your experience and rebuild your sense of safety and confidence.
I have over three years of experience utilizing CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier coping skills. In practice, I work collaboratively with clients to recognize the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to create strategies that promote meaningful change in daily life.
I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, ensuring that sessions are conducted with safety, trust, and empowerment. I recognize the impact of past trauma on current challenges and work to create a supportive environment where clients feel understood and respected as they process and heal.
I draw on DBT skills to support clients in building emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication. I often integrate these skills into sessions to help clients navigate difficult emotions, improve relationships, and develop a greater sense of balance and self-control.
I use ERP to help clients break the cycle of fear, avoidance, and compulsive behaviors by gradually facing the thoughts, sensations, and situations that trigger their anxiety. Together, we work toward decreasing engagement in old coping behaviors and building tolerance to uncertainty and distress.
