My name is Michael and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina. As a psychotherapist, my vocation is supporting individuals, working together on your journey toward self-discovery, healing, and learning to thrive from the comfort and convenience of your home or office, and when it is most convenient for you. My work commonly addresses individuals experiencing difficulties in life due to problems stemming from difficulties early in life, anxiety, depression, major life changes, academic challenges (undergrad, graduate, post-graduate studies), the discomfort of feelings that go along with hypervigilance, procrastination, and perfectionism.
Sometimes, we need help from someone new, experienced with developing collaborative relationships to find strengths we take for granted, and to embrace that we can be the person we’re meant to be.
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or major life changes? Let’s talk!
I do not prescribe medication, and I do not see clients under the age of 18.
I'm Melixa Carbonell, a licensed therapist and the founder of A Different Lens Counseling. I hold licenses in Florida (LMHC) and Colorado (LPC), and I'm a National Certified Counselor and an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. I see adults by video for ADHD and anxiety, and much of my work is with women and healthcare professionals. I also have ADHD and work in healthcare myself, so I bring both training and firsthand understanding. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and open to everyone.
“Sick and Tired of being sick and Tired?” Let’s talk it out. I am a practical, interactive, cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapist and Certified Coach. My treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. I incorporate a blend of conventional and alternatives approaches. With sensitivity and compassion, I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals. I look forward to talking to you.
I have specialties in the following issues: Mood Disorders: Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Life Changes/Life Coaching, PTSD-Trauma, “The Worried Well”, Veterans and Gerontology. Employee Assistance and routine outpatient mental health services.
I have 27 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker/clinician and coach. I am also a cancer survivor, former athlete and emotional support human to a 12 year old Chihuahua named Uncle Nicky.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience helping teens, adults, couples, and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, high functioning Autism Spectrum, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, emotional overwhelm, and family conflict. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel emotionally safe while also being genuinely challenged toward growth and healing. My approach is compassionate, insightful, and practical. I help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, improve relationships, strengthen boundaries, and create lasting emotional change — not just temporary symptom relief. I especially enjoy working with high-functioning individuals who are used to being strong for everyone else but are ready to finally receive support themselves.
Hello and thanks for stopping by. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted? Maybe you find yourself overthinking your decisions, struggling to set boundaries, or repeating relationship patterns that leave you questioning yourself. You know that you want something different but you're unsure how to move forward. Whatever you're experiencing, you don't have to face it alone. I helped women understand how past experiences and relationship patterns may be showing up in their lives today. Imagine moving through your days with greater calm and clarity. Imagine feeling more confident in your decisions, more connected to yourself, and more comfortable showing up as your authentic self. Healing does not mean forgetting what happened or moving through it alone, it means having the support and tools to understand your experiences and create a new path forward. You don't have to navigate your healing journey by yourself.
I am Kayla Crawford, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am here to support you as you move from simply managing what you've been through toward greater understanding, healing, and meaningful change. I have a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology. I come to you with over 18 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in outpatient and inpatient settings with at risk youth and families. I also worked alongside law enforcement during crisis to assist youth who struggled with suicidal ideations. My work is trauma informed, relational, somatic, and whole person focused. I recognize that you may intellectually understand your story but the body and your nervous system is still responding as if you are in the past.
I believe everyone has the ability to find their strength and wellness. Sometimes it takes a little extra support to get you there and that is where I come in. With almost two decades of experience in the field, we will work together as a team to reach your goals. There is no timeframe to reach these goals and we will get there at your speed. I treat therapy like you are driving a car, you choose the direction and speed while I act as GPS and help guide the path.
Reaching out for support takes courage, and you don't have to face life's challenges alone. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. Together, we'll work toward helping you feel more confident, build resilience, and make meaningful changes that support your goals.
I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, while tailoring each session to your unique needs and experiences. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, social or emotional struggles, or a major life transition, we'll work together to identify practical tools and strategies that fit your life. I believe in celebrating progress, no matter how small, and helping you recognize your strengths as you move forward on your healing journey.

Are you ready to Battle It With Therapy?
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia and Florida with over eight years of post-professional experience, dedicated to helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, depression, grief, LGBT-related issues, and compassion fatigue.
I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where your story can be heard and your healing can begin. Taking the first step into therapy isn’t easy, but it’s powerful and I’m here to walk beside you every step of the way.
Together, we’ll work toward resilience, growth, and balance in your life.
Let’s Battle It With Therapy. Your journey starts now.
I'm Porsha Coates, LMHC, and I work with people who are ready to make real changes — not just cope, but actually move forward. My clients include adults, adolescents, couples, veterans, and military families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I bring together CBT, Solution-Focused
Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and clinical hypnotherapy — not as a rigid formula, but as a flexible toolkit I adapt to what you actually need. I offer telehealth therapy across Florida, so getting support is straightforward, wherever you are.
Is life feeling heavy right now? Does it feel like the harder you try, the more lost you become?
When navigating a major life transition—like a recent loss, an empty nest, a career shift, or an ending relationship—your mind tries to think its way through the change, but your nervous system carries the actual burden. If you have spent months talking about your stress in therapy but your body still feels exhausted, anxious, or stuck, somatic work may be the missing piece.
I provide a warm, gentle space specializing in somatic (body-centered) therapy and mindfulness for women experiencing:
The heavy, physical ache of deep burnout and grief
A constant tightness in the chest or unshakeable fatigue
Feeling completely disconnected from your own body
We won’t just analyze your overwhelm; we will work together to help your body safely release it.
You don’t have to navigate this threshold alone. Let’s help you breathe a little deeper and feel truly grounded again.
Please Note: I believe healing burnout starts with modeling it. I deliberately limit my client slots so I can show up with total clinical presence, depth, and intention—giving you a calm, grounded space to slow down and heal.
Hi, I’m Shari. With more than 26 years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor, I believe every person has inherent worth that exists beyond their struggles, diagnoses, or life circumstances. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to seeing people through mercy and grace, recognizing dignity beyond dysfunction, strength alongside suffering, and hope even in life's most difficult seasons. These principles shape how I understand each client's story and guide the therapeutic relationship we build together.
I recognize that many of the ways people cope with anxiety, trauma, grief, or life's challenges began as creative ways to survive difficult circumstances. Rather than defining people by their symptoms or past experiences, I seek to understand their unique story, honor the resilience that has carried them this far, and help them build healthier patterns that support lasting healing and growth.
I also believe spirituality is a source of meaning, hope, and resilience that is distinct from religious beliefs or practices. Whether you identify as religious, spiritual, both, or neither, I respect your values and will thoughtfully incorporate them into therapy only if they are important to you.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and evidence-based. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, caregiver stress, chronic illness, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you gain insight, build practical coping skills, and reconnect with your strengths so you can move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Taking the first step towards a happier, more fulfilling life takes courage. When was the last time you prioritized your mental health and well-being?
Life's challenges can be overwhelming, making it difficult to move forward and heal from pain and struggles. Stress, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, grief, and anger can all impact your well-being.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience, I'm here to support and empower you on your journey to health and wellness. My approach is built on respect, sensitivity, and compassion, tailoring our work together to meet your unique needs.
In my practice, I've helped clients overcome stress, anxiety, and depression, achieving greater self-esteem and confidence. For those who wish to integrate faith into their treatment, I offer personalized Faith-Based Telehealth services, incorporating Christian spirituality into the healing process.
Let's work together to help you gain deeper insights, develop self-acceptance, and achieve a more fulfilling life.
When life gives us the unexpected sometimes, we need support systems that may seem untraditional to some. As a therapist, I welcome all the doubts that you may have about engaging in the therapeutic process. Therapy is a partnership, meaning I will be there to motivate and challenge you to arrive at the desired outcome. Most of my career has had a focus on working with individuals who suffer from dual diagnosis, trauma, and poor coping skills. Each treatment plan is developed personally for each individual meeting their own personal needs. My primary treatment orientation includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. I also have a passion for working with those suffering from burnout in the workplace and those seeking personal self-care plans. My interaction from beginning to end will also include trauma-informed care. I thank you in advance for letting me help you achieve one of your many goals in life, freedom from the bondage that is holding you from your peace!

First of all I’m a veteran and retired from the US Army. I have been a therapist for 8 years and have experience working with multiple modalities and almost all diagnoses at some point. I am also a Reiki and do holistic healing. I want to help others whether it’s building self confidence or dealing with trauma nothing is too small or too big to be treated.
Hello, my name is Tabitha Cantu, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’m a Hispanic therapist born and raised in the desert, surrounded by mountains that have always felt like home. At heart, though, I’m also a beach lover who finds peace by the ocean. I am licensed in Texas, New Mexico, and Florida and have lived and worked in each of these states. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting communities from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. My own Hispanic heritage has greatly shaped both who I am and the way I approach therapy. It has also inspired my private practice’s focus on cultural identity, life transitions, and the unique experiences that women and teen girls often navigate. Our cultural identity and the environments we grow up in have a profound impact on who we become. Family expectations, cultural values, generational beliefs, school pressures, and societal messages can all influence how women and teen girls view themselves, their relationships, and their sense of worth. In our work together, I honor your background and lived experiences while helping you explore what feels authentic to you. My goal is not to change who you are, but to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to the version of yourself that exists beneath the pressure, expectations, and roles you’ve been taught to fulfill.
Hello! I am Amy White, a Licensed Clinical Social Work. I received my degree from University of Texas at Arlington and have worked in the field for 11 years. I have had my private practice for five years. I strive to foster a safe environment to discuss any/all topics that will help my clients achieve an even happier and healthier life.
Hello! I am a LCSW licensed in Florida. I have 22 years experience in the field and 16 years post graduate from USF. When I share my personal journey to becoming a LCSW I always say this field chose me. The experiences I have had in this field are truly awe inspiring and life changing. I hope that through the connections I make with each client, that they leave feeling empowered and inspired that they can lead the life they desire and deserve.
I have experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, military related trauma. I also have experience with chronic illness and death and dying. I am passionate about creating a safe and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals. I have worked with all ages during my career.
I currently focus on working with adults. I currently offer Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have chosen these modalities as they focus less on the problem and more on the solution and where you would like to be. They are empowerment based, placing you as the expert in the treatment room and of your own life. I am there merely as a guide to help you uncover your own potential and strengths.
I look forward to working with you.
Life can be difficult, but you don't have to walk your path alone. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor ready to help you reach your full potential as you become even healthier mentally. As I use research-based techniques and strategies to address concerns, I work to help you manage and rectify issues. My greatest gratification is to assist others in excelling and reaching life goals and becoming mentally healthy. I am ready to help you walk on your journey and mental health success with this in mind.
I want to see you become healthier and whole. My goal is to listen and assist you as you transform your mental health. Today is your day. Let me help you get on your way!
Hi I'm Phillip,
Reaching out for support isn’t always easy—so take a moment to acknowledge the courage it took to take this first step. Starting therapy can feel empowering, overwhelming, or even a little scary—and that’s completely okay.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, struggling with self-care, or just feeling stuck, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Together, we’ll work on building healthier boundaries, improving communication (especially with yourself!), and creating more balance in your life. Therapy is a space for growth, healing, and finding clarity—and you deserve all of that and more.
If you’re ready to begin, I’m here and ready to walk alongside you.
Hi, I'm Ricardo. I'm a Hispanic man who's done my own work in therapy to figure out who I am and who I want to be—which is a big part of why I do this work today.
I went into counseling field because I kept seeing people who felt unheard or misunderstood by the people around them, often carrying more than anyone realized. That's especially true for a lot of men and teenage boys I've worked with—individuals who feel like they're supposed to be strong, keep things to themselves, or handle things alone, but who rarely have a space to actually talk about what's underneath that. I grew up seeing some of those same pressures and unhealthy patterns around what it means to "be a man," and part of my work now is helping men and boys move away from those roles and into a healthier, more grounded version of who they are—as partners, providers, sons, and people.
I especially enjoy working with teenage boys who are figuring out who they are, often at an age when it's hard to talk to the adults around them about what's really going on. I try to meet them where they are—not lecturing, not judging—so they actually want to keep showing up and talking.
For parents: if your son is pulling away, shutting down, or you're just not sure how to reach him right now, that's exactly the kind of thing we can work through together.
Outside of the therapy room, I'm endlessly curious—I love traveling, learning about different cultures, sports, and music (I play a bit of guitar). I think that mix of curiosity, care, and having done some of my own work is a lot of what I bring into the room with clients.
Taking the step toward therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I want you to feel at ease from the very first session. We’ll begin with introductions, creating a space where you can share at your own pace, with no pressure or urgency to disclose personal details. My priority is to foster a sense of trust and rapport, so you feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout the process.
With over 24 years of clinical experience, I specialize in helping clients manage stress, depression, anxiety, family conflict, and relationship challenges. My approach is rooted in respect, sensitivity, and compassion—I tailor each treatment plan to fit your unique needs. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and together, we’ll work toward solutions that bring clarity, resilience, and healing.
The best way to understand the impact of my approach is through the voices of those I’ve had the privilege to work with. Clients describe me as supportive, attentive, and insightful. Many have shared that I help them see beyond rigid perspectives, create new possibilities, and manage their emotions in a healthier way. They find comfort in knowing that therapy with me is a safe space where they feel truly heard.
I welcome clients from all cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, and walks of life, believing that human connection is essential to mental wellness. Whether you're navigating relationship struggles, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, or family dynamics, I am here to guide and support you.
Therapy is about progress, not perfection. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful change in a space designed just for you.
I am dedicated to improving the lives of children, adolescents and young adults who may struggle with emotion regulation, lack of coping strategies, social skills, and behavior problems at home, in school, or in the community. Whether there are specific goals in mind, or you just want some support through a difficult time, I will be here along your journey.

Hello! I’m Dr. Thuydy (pronounced "Tweety"), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist, and Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology. I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating intimacy challenges, compulsive sexual behaviors, trauma, and relationship concerns. My doctoral research focused on trauma-informed treatment for compulsive sexual behaviors, which I bring into my clinical work with compassion, respect, and a nonjudgmental approach.
I understand how difficult it can feel to navigate disconnection, conflict, or shame, especially when intimacy, sexuality, or past trauma are involved. My approach is trauma-informed, sex-positive, shame-resilient, and inclusive. I strive to create a safe, affirming space where clients from all backgrounds feel respected and supported, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+, engage in kink or BDSM, or practice consensual non-monogamy or polyamory.
Together, we'll explore your unique experiences, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and develop practical tools for resilience, communication, and self-compassion. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, somatic interventions, and shame resilience principles to create a personalized path toward healing, connection, and lasting growth.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for ten years now. You will always know yourself better than I can or will.
From a philosophical and theoretical standpoint. I am overwhelming more of an attachment theorist, and have been known to use existentialism from time to time to help make sense of something. I guess the question that remains though is; can a butterfly flap it's wings in Brazil and cause a tornado in Kentucky, or are we all simply just products of our childhood and mirrors of our parents traumas?
The duality of life.
Attachment Theory vs. Chaos Theory. Both have value. I digress.
My goal is to provide a petridish in which you can explore your self. Safe. Contained. Yet completely in your control. The paradox being, you likely already have what you need. I'll sit with you while you find it. I can give you my clinical opinion, or diagnosis, and recommendations along the way as well if you'd like that. I can just sit and listen. I can play devils advocate. My job is to listen, empower, observe, and provide feedback when requested.
As a licensed clinical social worker, certified life purpose coach, and psychosocial rehabilitative therapist, I bring extensive experience supporting adults, teens, and families in crisis. I also hold specialized training in Child Welfare & Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I help clients uncover their core identity and calling by exploring how past experiences, temperament, and belief systems shape their present-day behavior. Using a blend of personality psychology and talk therapy, I help clients make meaningful connections that lead to healing, self-discovery, and alignment in the mind, body, spirit, and soul.
Olushola Abiodun Lawal, known as Shola, was born and raised in South Florida. He is a Florida State University alumnus, graduating with a Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work in 2013 and 2015, respectively. During his time at FSU, he developed an interest in substance abuse, child welfare, mental health, and life coaching. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, Shola brings over five years of experience as a Primary Therapist, case manager, and clinical care coordinator, providing insight into various mental health disorders.
I fell in love with psychological studies in high school. Becoming a therapist has fulfilled my curiosity about human existence and my quest for happiness. I used therapy to overcome my own struggle with fears, shame, and self-doubt, which has affirmed my faith in the helping profession. I have learned through training and personal experiences that all human beings have the same basic quests in life and that we all deserve a chance to develop our unique potential, contribute uniquely to the tapestry of life, and be happy. I have also learned that human growth can only lead to spiritual development and discovery. My growth in understanding the common threads of humanity helps me treat my clients with respect and compassion. I have had extensive training in CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, trauma-focused, and insight-oriented therapies. My inclination is to use an integrated approach that meets clients where they are and helps propel them forward to achieve their objectives.
I’m a therapist who helps you remember who you are beneath the self-doubt, survival patterns, and old stories. My approach is compassionate, intuitive, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when we reconnect with the parts of ourselves we’ve had to hide or silence—especially the inner child. I work at the intersection of self-worth, spirituality, and soul-aligned growth, supporting clients in finding clarity, confidence, and deeper meaning.
I specialize in working with those who feel like they’ve spent a lifetime holding it all together while feeling unseen or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are navigating transitions—whether it’s stepping into adulthood, breaking generational cycles, leaving behind people-pleasing, or exploring who they are beyond roles and expectations. If you’ve ever felt like you're constantly performing, second-guessing yourself, or longing to feel safe in your truth, you’re not alone.
In our work together, I draw from evidence-based therapies like Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and somatic practices, while also incorporating space for spiritual exploration, ancestral healing, and intuitive insight. I honor each client’s cultural, emotional, and energetic experiences and believe in co-creating a space where all parts of you are welcome.
This is more than just symptom management—it’s about coming home to yourself. I’m here to walk with you as you reclaim your voice, reconnect with your purpose, and live more fully in alignment with who you truly are—mind, body, and spirit.
Struggling with addiction can feel isolating—but you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you are dealing with substance use, alcohol dependence, or trying to make sense of repeated relapses, I offer a space where you can be honest, understood, and supported without judgment.
With over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) in Florida, I’ve worked alongside individuals at every stage of recovery. I understand how complex addiction is—and how much strength it takes to ask for help.
I specialize in working with people navigating addiction, trauma, mental health challenges, and major life transitions. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care to support meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy works best when it’s a collaborative process—where your voice is valued and your goals guide the work we do together.
I also bring a personal understanding of the recovery process, which allows me to meet clients with both clinical expertise and authentic empathy. Whether you’re newly sober, returning to recovery, or just starting to question your relationship with substances, you’ll be met with compassion, honesty, and real support every step of the way.
I believe that everyone has a story to tell and that everyone has the right to tell their story. You deserve to be heard and understood in the ways that are best for you. Through a collaborative approach, we'll sit together and unravel the thoughts, hurt, and experiences that make you, you.
At the end of the day, therapy is about you and your best interest coming to fruition while being in a safe, non-judgmental space. I'm excited to work with you and see the growth that can happen. When you're ready, please feel free to reach out.

Anxiety, depression, and relationship issues are experiences that many of us encounter at various times in our lives. If you are feeling overwhelmed by negative emotions or believe you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any combination of stressors affecting your peace of mind and relationships, "you don't have to keep feeling this way." You are not alone in your struggles, and you deserve to regain the peace of mind and joy that seem to elude you right now. "Let's find a way forward together - with compassion, clarity, and lasting change." My primary goal is to help you transition from merely feeling good to truly living well.
Whether you are facing a specific crisis or a slow accumulation of challenges that has left you feeling unlike yourself, my clinical work offers a safe, judgment-free space to begin moving toward greater clarity and well-being. I draw on a carefully integrated blend of evidence-based frameworks, selecting and tailoring techniques based on each client's unique needs, history, and goals.
My therapeutic approach combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Process-Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mind-body techniques. This approach is grounded in the belief that lasting change requires attending to the whole person — mind, body, and the relational world we inhabit. Through ACT, you will learn to be more psychologically present, connect with your values, and make space for life’s inevitable pain. You will also discover how to take actionable steps despite emotional discomfort and cultivate an appreciation for each moment in your life.
While my specialty is brief therapy, some situations may require an extended therapeutic relationship, which can be beneficial for adults and parents dealing with complex mental health challenges and navigating difficult child-rearing adjustments at home.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over three years of experience, I am passionate about helping teens and adults navigate life’s challenges while building resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, difficulties with boundary setting, grief and loss, life transitions, and challenges with motivation and self-confidence.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s unique journey. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy to create a personalized treatment experience that meets each client’s needs and goals.
I have particular expertise in working with trauma, abandonment wounds, codependency, communication challenges, forgiveness, guilt and shame, life purpose exploration, and cultivating self-love. I am especially passionate about supporting Black and Brown women as they navigate the intersection of personal growth, relationships, identity, and healing.
I strive to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, gain deeper self-awareness, and develop practical tools for lasting change. My goal is to empower clients to strengthen their relationships, establish healthy boundaries, embrace their authentic selves, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Because sleep quality is critical to physical and mental health I am passionate about helping people get good sleep.
I received my PhD from Duke University and have been a practicing psychologist for several decades. I work primarily with behavioral sleep medicine because sleep problems are so widespread, and there are not enough specialists to meet the need. I have published several articles and a book on sleep and am the director of the insomnia course for the World Sleep Academy, as well as a member of the Outreach and Public Education Committee, Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I continue working with people with anxiety, depression, and couples issues on a limited basis. The methods I use are evidence-based and trauma-informed. I am also an ordained member of the clergy (rabbi) and consider one's spirituality an important part of treatment for many, though not all, people.
I’ve practiced telehealth exclusively since early 2020. Most people appreciate working this way because of convenience. Therapy is not adversely affected, and I am even able to do hypnotherapy via telehealth.
I have been a practicing social worker for more than 30 years . Much of this experience has been working in a large public teaching hospital in Miami, Florida. The scope of service that the hospital provides is quite comprehensive which afforded me opportunities to work with a very diverse population . i have counseled patients and their families dealing with a variety of illnesses, both physical and mental health, survivors of sexual assault, and also providing counseling to patients in a correctional setting. I like challenging situations. My style of counseling is very eclectic, depends on the client and their unique set of problems. This can range from client centered, solution oriented or cognitive behavioral as many people are coming to therapy to learn new ways of thinking and alternative coping strategies.
For the past two years, I have been involved in teletherapy providing psychotherapy to clients that are experiencing such problems as anxiety, depression, employment, relationship, and interpersonal difficulties. Also I have been providing counseling to teenagers dealing with the above issues and involving their parents when indicated.
Welcome! My name is Corina and I hold a license in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I went to school at Palm Beach Atlantic University for both my undergrad and masters education. Palm Beach Atlantic University is a Christian University and I feel grateful to have attended this school as it has created the person I am today. I believe that my faith has developed me into the counselor I am today and I function with that mentality in counseling. Jesus is the great counselor and I believe that we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
I have been working in the counseling field for 8 years and have been licensed for 4 of those years. I have worked the majority of my career in an in-patient addictions center and have expanded to outpatient and in-home therapy with a couple of different community agencies. In those agencies, I have offered services to children from the ages of 4 to adults in their 60s, as well as family therapy. I have worked with an array of issues not limited to family conflict, relationship issues, communication, drugs and alcohol, anger, stress, coping skills and many other life issues.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a modality that I primarily work with and at times borrows from other modalities when it is fit. My goal is to build a real, raw and positive relationship while being compassionate and empathetic. I will be sensitive but also direct in my efforts to help you find solutions to your current and/or past issues. I also believe that incorporating the use of coping skills, boundaries and communication will increase the quality of life as well as the quality of relationships.
I believe all interactions are the beginning of potential flourishing relationships. With that said, I think that as we grow in counselor and client relationships, this very relationship will better help you with your relationships with family, friends and co-workers.
I am excited to meet you and to work with you as you learn new ways to live your very best life! Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.

I have 12 years of clinical experience working with teens, young adults and adults. In addition to working with common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, etc., I have broader experience working with children of divorce, trauma, grief and LGBTQAI+ populations.
We all have a fundamental need to feel known, cared for and understood and I am honored to have a career in which I can be that person for others. The therapeutic process is hard to explain and better to be experienced. As we feel known, cared for and understood by not only another but with time, ourselves, it’s a special kind of magic that can bring about deep healing and shifts.
A little bit about me; I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and have also lived in Boston, Massachusetts and Boulder, Colorado. I am now back home, married and a mother of two wild and wonderful boys. Some things that I love are music, nature, hidden gems, good food, deep talks, movies, a good workout, and adventure!
