(she/her)
Hello I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) who operates a virtual private practice in Florida. While I have been in the helping field since 2003, I transitioned to a clinical role in 2015 after completing my graduate studies at the Lincoln University in PA. In my practice I work with teens and adults who experience conflict or disconnection in their relationships whether it's intimate, peer, or family, those who experience difficulty regulating their emotions. I help my client live the life they desire and have supportive relationships with themselves and others.
During the initial session clients can expect rapport building and information gathering. This is where we clients will be able to share their experience and expectations. Together we will develop goals of treatment and a plan on how those goals will be implemented throughout treatment. We will periodically review progress, which takes times so I do ask that you be patient and kind to yourself throughout this journey.
My professional and personal experiences have taught me a lot about life, people, and different factors impacting mental health. Prior to transitioning to the role of a clinician, I worked in various settings in the filed of human service that allowed me to see people in different environmental settings. Those experiences influence how I interact with others, meeting others where they are with compassion, care, and openness to hear and understand people as unique beings.
In my practice I offer individual, group, family, and couples therapy to adolescents and adults. In my experience clients seek support with navigating challenges in their relationships, issues with self-esteem, stress related issues. I also support clients who struggle with managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and anger related problems. These issues impact the client's day-to-day functioning, how they view themselves, and how they view others. I utilize a holistic approach to help clients address their emotional, social, cultural, environmental, and spiritual needs. Clients desire to alleviate symptoms of distress and to discover strategies to help resolve concerns and live meaningful lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I generally utilize the cognitive framework as it empowering to client with gaining control of their emotions. I do this by first teaching the framework to clients and guiding them with developing personalized strategies to increase awareness of faulty thoughts and belief systems and work to challenge, change, or reframe their thoughts which allows them to experience improved emotions.
